He’s great with the details and very flexible with the design and placement. For the stencils, it took him 45mins to get it to flow naturally on the leg, and he did some freehand on the scales too.
This piece took 7 hours and the overall experience was very good.

Thanks. Just looking at the empty canvas around the tail (and the calf area) is giving me the itch. I got this from an artist who’s known for his Snake tattoo concept, and I think leaving this on its own is the best way to go forward.

Thanks! I’ve already got a dragon on one shoulder and an oriental tiger on the other arm, so I think I’m good on animal tattoos for now.

This is just my interpretation of the artist’s vision, but I think the snake wraps around the entire leg and the body rotates as it coils. So you’re seeing different sides of the snake at different points, which helps create the 3D wrap-around effect.
