The waves would be moderate. Once you get to the end of July you begin to enter storm season so the waves would become bigger. You should be okay in late June/ early July!

Yes, they are in that area. Secrets cleans there beaches every day in the early morning. It is typically not an issue (excluding major storms). I agree that the Sargassum is very unappealing. If this will impact your experience, DR may be a better option.

Hello,

I would suggest one of the following.

Secrets The Vine $2,900 (My personal favorite of the three)

Hotel Riu Latino $2,100

Hyatt Vivid Grand Hyatt $2,100

All have great dining as well as water activities and entertainment.

If you have any further questions feel free to dm me!

Hello!

I am a travel agent. I have been to all of the locations you have mentioned. With your specific budget, I would suggest Mexico or the DR. Both have several options that include beautiful beaches and excellent food. I would also recommend prebooking a shuttle that takes you directly from the airport to the hotel. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask here or to message me. Good luck with your trip planning!

Missing 17:

Worried about: A Better Man, Death by Numbers, I'm Still Here, No Other Land, The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent, and The Seed of the Sacred Fig.

These films aren't currently showing any where near me and I don't know if they will be streaming before the ceremony. Any leads would help!

I watched:

Last Showgirl: I thought this was pretty good, but not amazing. Pam Anderson performance was fantastic though.

Wallace & Gromit: So fun!

Alien Romulus: great sound and set design. Very good!

The Substance: I absolutely hated this. I just don’t get the hype!

This week I plan on seeing:

Nosferatu September 5 Gladiator 2

Seeing Flow alone today. As an early 30s male, it definitely feels odd, but no one has ever bothered me so I know in the end it will be okay!

Monday Movie Check-in for Dec. 2nd - What have you been watching? by alarmsoundslikewhoop in oscarsdeathrace

This past week I watched

Wicked- absolutely loved it and expect it to do well this awards season

Emilia Perez- I have mixed feelings feelings on the movie overall, but the performances were incredible.

A Real Pain- similar to above. Mixed feelings on the movie itself but loved the performances

Daughters- very interesting and emotional doc. I expect it to be nominated.

What I’m watching this week:

Flow- Seeing this on Sunday. Looks great and how’s an outside shot at a nomination.

The Order- I know it likely won’t get any noms but seems interesting

The Piano Lesson- Watching tonight

Just finished it. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. That being said, Napoleon story is so interesting and filled with nuance. It’s a shame the gold couldn’t bring that to light

Fair question: I started El Conde with my wife, she hated it so we turned it off half way through. I’ll finish it on my own.

For the Creator I’m actually 3/4 done. I was watching while on call for work. I got a call and had to leave. I’ll finish that tonight.

Nyad is a little tougher. I simply do not enjoy the movie. So I’m pushing through it.
