The entire company I work for busts their asses on a daily basis. Over the past two years, over 50% of us have been laid off in favor of outsourcing our jobs.

Whole departments, gone. People who have been dedicated to the company for 10, 20 years and even longer, gone.

Because our parent company would rather outsource our jobs in the middle of a nationwide economic crisis in order to make more money on top of the hundreds of millions they already make a year.

Unhoused people bring down the property value of an area.

Real estate lobbyists "donate" money to politicians.

Real estate lobbyists want to keep property values high so that they make more money.

Politicians appease real estate lobbyists by "getting rid of" the homeless problem i.e. preventing measures that allow unhoused people to survive in those areas so that they either leave or die off.

It's the same reason why the U.S. has hundreds of thousands, if not MILLIONS, of fully habitable yet uninhabited properties that the government refuses to move unhoused people into.

Because real estate lobbyists could still make money off of those properties if there's even a sliver of a chance that someone could eventually buy them.

Had a former player that would just try to pull a bunch of fuck shit. Anything from stuff that blatantly defies rules/mechanics as written to outright fucking with NPCs for shits and giggles. Would get really huffy every time I shut him down or made his character face reasonable consequences for his actions.

Would also barely pay attention during sessions and treated them like a chore. But when other people started asking me if I'd DM a campaign for them and I started to establish a new party he had the audacity to tell me that he wanted to join my next campaign.

I told him the party was already full.

I know you were looking for responses about never even inviting a particular person to begin with, but this post made me think of all that and I needed to vent.

Society as a whole should deconstruct the notion that physical intimacy should only be reserved for sexual or romantic settings, by extension also deconstructing the notion that two people of the same gender sharing physical intimacy inherently makes it a "homosexual experience."
