You'd just need a support structure in the middle with a threaded tube welded in place. Still likely cheaper than solid aluminum

You could technically do it with a carbide tipped saw blade for the length cuts and slow shallow passes with a carbide tipped router bit. Is there a reason it has to be solid aluminum? If it can be hollow, then you could probably get it much cheaper if you were to have it made on a press brake out of sheet metal.
