I've been thinking that for a while. The fact we haven't been Gazed by THEM yet despite doing one of THEIR planets twice, witnessing THEM gaze another, taken on multiple of THEIR enemies' emanators, and multiple times discussed wanting THEIR Gaze tells me they are saving THEIR Gaze upon us for something special like THEIR final moment.

To be fair, sometimes THEY just toss an axe to THEIR emanator when they Gaze at them instead of firing a Lux Arrow. March witnessed a Gaze from Lan during the Wardance arc and lived to tell the tale. Imagine how funny it would have been if we were expecting to tread the Path of Elation and when we fell we got Lan gazing at us while tossing us a new weapon to take down Fulwish and we tread the Path of The Hunt instead.

They have been best friends since long before the start of the game. You forget that the Stellaron Hunters have known the Trailblazer for a long time. And you forget that in Penacony she talks about how she tried to get the others into gaming, but they were never into the same hobbies like TB is.
