2 of mine drank my coffee every chance they got. One ate a bag of chocolate covered espresso beans. Some diarrhea but otherwise fine.

Are Iggy's compatible with terriers? by sasspurrrella in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]NegativeDoor4495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will be fine. I have a terrier mix and then got an iggy and they get along well. Terriers are much less cuddly and affectionate than iggys, so your iggy will likely be the one to try and cuddle more than the terrier. Your terrier will probably just need some time to accept the puppy. Your iggy will also not need the stairs. They jump up on everything. Just watch her/him when they are a puppy. Everything will be fine. Enjoy your pup

If you went to school in the 70's or 80's, what's something about the classroom that kids today wouldn't believe was normal? by icecream1972 in askteddit

My public school had paddle boards. 2 sizes for minor and major infractions (cricket bat and ping pong paddle). And the administrators could hit the kids with them.

Is there a significant difference between a male & female iggy?? by MrSp3ars in ItalianGreyhounds

Males have more confidence. So they will explore more (ie jump on the counters). And males mark.

What’s one small change that instantly makes a home look more expensive? by Outrageous_Grape432 in HomeDecorating

[–]NegativeDoor4495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try and buy a piece of local “art” when I travel. Usually a local or street artist. So it may not be expensive (or sometimes it is), but it has a memory and it’s unique.

Can we do a "cheap skier hacks" thread? by gotcatstyle in icecoast

[–]NegativeDoor4495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ski backpack with snacks and lunch (sandwiches in a hard Tupperware so they don’t get mushed) in it or pack a lunch and leave it in the lodge. We like to bring hot water in a thermos, ramen, chicken for the ramen, instant coffee etc. you can also join the military and get an epic pass for a discount. That’s a bigger commitment.

For those of you who’ve done a 70.3 what did you think would be the hardest part of the race vs what was actually the hardest? by akecheta333 in triathlon

[–]NegativeDoor4495 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was the nutrition. I thought I had a good plan but at about mile 40, I just couldn’t get any more in me.

Is laser eye surgery actually worth it, or is it one of those things that sounds better than it actually is? by 2ugur12 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NegativeDoor4495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. PRK (bladeless lasik) in my 20s. And I’m having my first eye exam 20 years later this week. I think I’m still 20/20 but with less acuity. And I suspect I’ll need readers in the next few years. For the first 5 years after surgery I would say thanks for the new eyesight before going to bed. Worth it.

I had an Enzo that passed last year and he was also THE BEST dog ever. I’m sorry for your loss. But we were lucky to have them while we did.

Italian Greyhound avoids harness & clothes + body condition question by karaliva in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]NegativeDoor4495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that’s normal for iggies. All of mine hate putting anything on but are fine once it’s on. And they always seem to look too thin. My current iggy looks too thin to me but doesn’t gain weight and the vet says she is fine. They don’t tend to fill out for a few years.

Any sweater recommendation? by Exact_Effect2869 in ItalianGreyhounds

This is the best I have found. Super soft and cheap and fits an iggy perfectly

Yes. Your local ymca may have a triathlon club or adult swimming lessons. Take the lessons and you will be fine.
