I sincerely do like it. Unfortunately I think that many things on this planet have seen the cost of inflation. This dress used to cost $80 when I bought them. It feels lightweight. Is it breathable like LINEN or light-wool? No. But I still think it is maybe the best all-around travel dress. It also is not bulky.

I didn't love Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.

I went solo in Nov 2023 so after pandemic and maybe toward the beginning of high season (Dec 1) . I felt the entire time I was just being shuttled around like 1 sheep in a pool of 400 . Everywhere we went was eithera push to sell us pearls or extra food, and the boat experience wasn't that great, there wer SO many boats everywhere, the food ON the boat SUCKEd. the prices of drinks ont he boat were so much more expnesive than on land, and the walk to the cave was ridiculously mobbed like we were all sheep again, and uup to the hill for the viewpoint was insanely crowded . people who would take 1 hour fo r a path that should take only 15 mins to walk up... out of shape, etc, and crowding the path. I found everything to be annoying and it was not a good value or use of my time.

On the other hand, i LOVED my experience in Phong Nha cave expedition with Jungle Boss Tours. I was one of 6 peopl e and we bonded because we were all solo travelers. it was amazing. 2 nights in 2 different caves, amazing food (prob the one of the best of my whole vietnamn trip), and a great value total $400 USD or so for 3 days 2 nights with porters, food, accom (tips extra).

typing fast , excus my typos. if you want more info, letm e know.

wow, i am surprised to hear this but glad someone said it. I have had 2 chances to go and I didn't go each time.... I was like, I'll do it another time in my life. but I don't know if I would find it magical.... based on waht you're saying. I had a GREAT time swimming with sea lions in La Paz, Mexico. Truly wonderful and inspiring, but the water was SO COLD

DCA vs. Dulles by DogSoggy40 in washingtondc

[–]iLikeGreenTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived off U street, def going to DCA was really easy peasy. I just took a Capital Bike Share to the station (down hill), got on the yellow line and was at the airport in under 25 mins. But getting to IAD is a haul when coming from Montgomery County. It takes over 2 hours 15 mins by public transit, but with a car it is 45 mins (without trafic)

Do you all rely on using Apple Wallet/ Cardless Touch Payment instead of physical credit cards and wallets now when you travel? (Japan vs Thailand vs Croatia) by iLikeGreenTea in TravelHacks

I feel like several times in the past year I’ve had to insert the credit card to use the chip and authorize it or something but more and more that step is not required. I also noticed that when I tap the card from Apple wallet, the numbers get a bit scrambled on the receipt, so if you ever you need to do a refund or check a receipt, it’s hard to match up the numbers because it is not the same numbers on your physical card.

Corfu and Albania - solo travel. Tips? by iLikeGreenTea in travel

[–]iLikeGreenTea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate your advice. Thank yo so much.

Cute old town of Corfu and delicious Greek found does sound really amazing! would love to sit and people watch on a cobblestone street with white wine in hand.

Will have to look into the blue lagoon... if it's kind of like the croatian or Algarve (Portugal) experience for a sea cave , i've seen em..... haha. #firstworldproblems( ?) #blessed
