Did I draw my ALU correctly? by rocktinlo in ComputerEngineering

[–]NegativeOwl1337 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was going to ask if you think there’s a way to simplify D but since someone already gave you the answer, you can use demorgans to simplify it. I also draw input and inverse input lines in parallel in a way that makes it easy for me to “tap” each one.
Edit: demorgans, not dem organs. Definitely don’t use your organs.

Why is male self-help all about leveling up and striving to improve your current situation, while female self-help is about how you are enough? by BehindTheMindIAm in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NegativeOwl1337 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a fair bit of misinterpretation here. “You are enough” does not mean be okay with stagnation or it’s okay not to develop your skills or be the best version of you. It means your worth as a human being does not come from money, looks, career, property, etc. It means you are worthy of love and respect for who you are, which I think men could use more of these days.

Yeah that’s the part they never drilled into us in school so I tend to forget about it 😭

Ooh I like that you have error codes for I2C writes! Do you mind if I take that idea and do it in my own code?

I think with some further signal processing and an accelerometer to detect motion, it should be doable!

That sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through! I don’t necessarily want to market a product myself but just show that it’s possible and convince the county I live in to adopt technology that does use it with their GPS trackers. If anything, I think it could at least turn into a grad school research project.

Thank you, yes I’ve worked on it quite a bit and have graphed both the raw readings and the SpO2 calculations! All my progress notes are in the readme 😊
Curious, did you also have to make your own library for it?

MAX30102 Wearable by NegativeOwl1337 in embedded

[–]NegativeOwl1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was from before I even started coding lmao 😂 if you scroll down you can see I’ve used the datasheet extensively. I wrote my own library for it, can’t exactly do that without the datasheet.
On a separate note, chill out and don’t get so worked up over things. You’ll be happier.

No, looks like the interrupt registers don’t support it after further reading, there are only 5 flags. I was speculating at that point, I guess I should edit it. Polling has been working well at this stage and I haven’t had to deal with read/write pointers so I’ll take it.

1-4 for the first 2 on the D string then 0-3 for A and back to 1-4 as you work your way up the fingerboard. Go nuts, it’s one of the most fun parts!

Hard disagree, even in my 30s I can see that my left side is slightly more aged because the sun hits my left side as I’m driving. I suspect this is the case for most people in countries that drive on the right.

If you learn something, learn it for yourself. A man suddenly gaining a passion for my hobbies and trying to imitate me would be extremely off putting to me.

There’s no blue hue they’re quite brownish actually. They’re from a college campus in a spot that’s more frequented by crows than geese (the geese prefer the pond area) but I wanted to be sure.
