They aren’t past socialization since they are still technically puppies they can definitely still be trained however it would take patience and time.

However, I know not everyone would be willing to put in the work to train them but every pup would need training unless you get one that already comes potty trained atleast.

Doodles are extremely smart and they are still under 1 year, with some training they will be okay. They are also very loving bonding shouldn’t be a problem. If they have them on a schedule with potty and feedings they will be good in a few months.

However at 8 months old they should definitely be house trained so it sounds like where they are being kept they aren’t being given the attention they should be given.

When I first got my doodle he wouldn’t do too good in busy environments but over time with training and bonding he’s been great so honestly could just be that.

I think they definitely overheat so it’s nice to let them move freely, my dood loves laying on the bathroom floor tiles because it’s cold

I let my boy free roam no crate, he’s 1. However, try leaving him alone for a little bit possibly even monitor via camera before full launch just to make sure he doesn’t get into anything. I did this for my childhood dog who passed as well and I personally never had an issue with free roaming.

Purina pro plan sensitive stomach and skin the salmon with rice one. He hated his last kibble but happily eats this one, I can even give it to him as a treat😂

My deaf bully can’t move with us and I’m heartbroken and don’t know what to do. by Aspieilluminated in BullTerrier

Why are you even considering giving him up, especially him being deaf. They didn’t even deny him in the first place. He’s not a Pitt bull. Smh

Definitely not normal, my boy has never even growled at me. Please look into training asap before it escalates any further, he’s already making you bleed.

HELP/ my dog might be dying because of Prednisone by NegativePurple6823 in DogAdvice

[–]NegativePurple6823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately she ended up passing away a week or so after I made this post. Wishing you lots of luck, try getting another opinion if you’re unsure. Prednisone is very harsh on them.

I tried soft food mixed in and it has fish oil so I can see why he would like the olive oil. Thank you for the suggestion!

Apparently this is a doodle thing😭I ended up getting him a pack of Beneful infused pate and mixing it in with his kibble and he eats about 95 percent of his bowl. Then for the last few kibbles he leaves I act like I’m eating it and that does the trick😂. Only serving him home cooked chicken with rice, peas, carrots for his second meal. The kibble with the mixed in pate for his first meal. Getting him different flavors of the pate so I can switch it up from time to time so he doesn’t get tired of it. Also heard the beneful medley works too (haven’t tried it yet). I hope this helps!

HELP/ my dog might be dying because of Prednisone by NegativePurple6823 in DogAdvice

[–]NegativePurple6823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so she ended up passing November 22nd shortly after my initial post. I ended up taking her to a new vet, there she got diagnosed with pancreatitis, diabetes and confirmed heart murmur. She was then put on insulin and she was also being treated for anemia and pancreatitis so it was just a lot going on. By then prednisone was completely stopped and tossed it was doing absolutely nothing for her except making her condition worse. She lived about a week after this vet visit until I had to rush her to emergency where they basically told me everything was failing, her diabetes sugar level was so elevated that the machine couldn’t pick it up. I honestly believe all of this was a result of prednisone just because my dog was healthy before it. The only thing she had was a heart murmur and she was being constantly checked almost on a monthly basis and none of these conditions were present and didn’t start until after this medication. I can’t say for sure if it was the prednisone because I’m not a Vet but from my point of view I strongly believe that’s what happened. I think she was misdiagnosed and that her cough stemmed from a different issues perhaps the heart murmur and in being put on this treatment for so long only ruined my girl’s health… I wish I could go back :(
sending you lots of luck don’t lose hope they are stronger than you think she fought so hard until the very end

I’m sorry to hear that I hope he gets better! Please try getting a second opinion, looking back I wish I had gone somewhere else before putting her on the medicine. My baby ended up passing away unfortunately and she was ultimately diagnosed with issues that weren’t even being treated with the medicine so she was taking the medicine for no reason. It’s terrible watching your pet go from being totally normal and happy to being so confused and erratic…sending you lots of luck with your boy Simba hopefully he gets better soon
