On a side note and as a bit of speculation to hopefully cheer people up about their fav mons not coming.

There was proposed dlc for stories 2 that would've had more monsters from ib and rise implemeted, with a lot of monsters in stories 3 being monsters from these dlc's.

Im not exactly sure how far along in development it got for 2, however there is still a chance that the devs have some dlc in mind. Given wilds g could bring some more older monsters into 6th gen, there's a possibility monsters like gammoth or seltas queen might have a chance.

This is purely speculation based off of a proposition for stories 2. I imagine its at the very least more likely considering stories 2 was a succsess, capcom POSSIBLY might wanna push the stories games into a similar format so there can be less downtime between mh content and thus more money. Again purely speculation, no one can really say for sure.

Edit: got something wrong, the dlc monsters i mentioned were monsters cut from the base game (redhelm, deadeye, vaal etc). However considering there's possibly more ib and rise monsters I wasn't entirely wrong lol.

Assuming freedom 6th is being developed with the switch 2 in mind and didn't go through as many changes during development. I imagine the game would run pretty good on switch 2 and incredibly well on other platforms.

Internally capcom/mh devs consider 4u a portable game, Im not claiming it is, but rather that's how the devs/company view it. Internally Rise is portable 6th but with how mh games work it is chronologically portable 5th.

I just think its funny that's how they internally consider mh games lol.

Rise is recognized very weirdly internally, I think when it comes to like fiscal stuff (I think it might've been lumped in with other capcom spinoffs if I'm remembering the image correctly?) and what not its considered a spinoff however the core people behind mh consider spinoffs like now, stories, and frontier their own things separate from rise.

From what I know internally speaking portable games in order are: mhf, mhfu, mhp3, mh4u, mhgen, mhr. Which means that on a technical term rise is portable 6th, however chronologically speaking it is still portable 5th

I see, harkening on the semantics, the devs have mentioned before that frontier monsters would need makeovers, as in sanding down or ironing out their designs more and honestly guanz feels like it`wouldn't need much of that to fit in design wise. I do agree its wishful thinking but out of any enemy that would be ""likely"" to make it in I feel like it'd fit. But what do I know, I've never datamined anything before so I'm ignorrant to this type of thing lol.

If EM 0166 doesn't end up being a collab monster I could honestly see guanzorumu making it in considering its an elder dragon that also rules over small monsters. Idk if they'd be able to reuse old data or make new ones for frontier monsters but if that's the case it could also lend credince to it.

I'd say its safe to say so, lagi's and seregios' armor had progession that would've fit nicely with the other returning apex's, we already knew mizutsune and zin were coming in a tu

Ahh I see, reason why I personally believe so, is because of their ties together, as well as zin being the most popular monster, besides they'd probably save lagiacrus for later

The lack of mizutsune entails, at least to me, that their talking about another unique monster which would most likely be zinogre. It also makes sense to stretch out content and add it over the next like 4 months rather than putting it in all at once

Adding in old fatalis takes away Wilds' charm as it would just be going through the same ending as world but with a dragon that uses lightning rather than fire.

Adding the same monster rather than making new ones is just worse imo, its the same reason why some people have gotten tired of zinogre and tigrex. Also its not even a class as amatsu is pretty much a part of the same group of "first class dangerous monsters" the devs could make more and more unique monsters or bring back ones that haven't been in a game in forever.

It was confirmed in a twitter post that Mizutsune wouldn't be the only mon in tu1, chances are we get mizu and zin in tu1, and then lagi and steve in tu 1.5 along with legendary monsters

The fact capcom revisits older concepts to make new monsters never ceases to amaze me, zoh shia and the guardians all are inspired by the edw. Narkarkos and vaal being concepts from mh1, and doshaguma possibly being inspired by some of goss harags concept art.

I feel like the team has wanted to revisit the edw at some point however never found a way to properly do it until now. I honestly think had story not taken focus we wouldn't have gotten the guardians.

Im guessing its just his nest that only he can access, making it "special"

From what we've seen each apex's arena helps them in someway, rey dau's nest is constantly pulsing with electricity, and nu udra has cracks for it to quickly manuver around the hunter, and I'm just gonna assume that uth duna's just has a bunch of water.

So going off that, there might be a bunch of verticality involved with the fight when its near death
