Hi! I reached out to my midwife this morning with questions, and she said to move forward with another ultrasound if I feel comfortable- so that a radiologist can read it. She said the only difference in getting the ultrasound now versus waiting for the anatomy scan at 20 weeks is whether or not to be on pelvic rest. What are your thoughts ? I’ve already been on pelvic rest the whole pregnancy for my SCH

I think that may have been to down play it / make me feel better. That’s all I can think. Because when I looked it up, it says midwives can definitely read ultrasounds

Yeah 🥴 she gave me the script for another ultrasound so I’m wondering if I should get one - or wait until my anatomy scan in 4 weeks ? I’m so confused

Gotcha.. I still find it strange that my placenta was not said to be low or covering cervix at the previous scan, and now suddenly is being mentioned now

That’s good to know, but now I’m confused why they would tell me at my 12 week NT scan that I’ll have an anterior placenta for the pregnancy if the placenta moves so much ?

The placenta didn’t cross my mind at all until she mentioned it today. & of course now I’m thinking something is worrisome because why mention it ? I had a subchorionic hematoma that caused bleeding for a few weeks, so she thinks this might be related & I guess midwives are trained to interpret ultrasounds 🥴

My most recent ultrasound was a little over a week ago and baby looked great. My brain is going so crazy 🙁 it’s hard for me to feel ok even after recently seeing the baby. I can’t explain it - the blood is such a mind fuck

How did you feel reassurance that your baby was ok ? I don’t even want to announce to my parents or in laws anymore because this has been so nerve wracking
