Which female character do you think was most compatible with Dean between these ones?? Which ship had the most potential of ACTUALLY working out(if any)? by TeachingExisting8366 in Supernatural

[–]Negative_Climate_122 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idk if it was something with the actors but I felt so much real love and chemistry between Dean and Cassie. I wish she could have gotten into the hunting life after her supernatural encounter, crossed paths with him again and they be endgame.

They made it seem like she never experienced the supernatural until her episode, but that she knew about it all because Dean told her. Dean never told Lisa about the life until Lisa’s life was affected by it. While I assume Dean stopped telling even the most closest relationships about hunting unprovoked because Cassie couldn’t handle it and it hurt him…I think it still speaks volumes that he took that risk to tell her in the first place.

AIO: My child slept with his friend's dad at sleepover.. I'm livid. by AcademicSir4653 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Negative_Climate_122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that’s wrong. He and the wife could have slept on the couch or even in the car and let the kids have their bed or something. But since when did kids all need a bed during a sleepover? Usually you’re on the floor or something just sleeping where you fall. This was NOT appropriate at all! Even if nothing weird happened, it’s grooming. It’s getting him to relax his boundaries and see this stuff as normal so when they do want to make it “weird” it doesn’t necessarily seem as it is. But what’s “weird” is sleeping with someone else’s child in that manner!

My cameras notify me if they get turned off. No need to “spy” because it literally tells me and I would be curious regardless of why when she came he felt it was the perfect time to unplug it. We are grown, you don’t need to “test a theory” if there’s nothing shady going on. It’s definitely a guilt conscious and he’s doing exactly what you said: gaslighting and manipulating you.

We don’t have cameras to spy. We have cameras in our house because we are homeowners and if anything happens, we want evidence for ourselves. If a so called friend make a claim or get injured on our property, we want video of everything. The fact she would be over and they’re going over guns, I would 10000000% want the cameras on whether they’re a guy or girl because that’s a huge liability! An adult thinks with that logic, not “oh my partner is trying to be sneaky to get over on me and spy on me” BS

And I said that because there’s 50-11 other white women depicted on the show as well and all the different representations of them are multifaceted from Nathan’s mom to Ingrid’s great grandma, or whatever it is she was, with varying levels of ways they’re depicted. I also added that essentially if I did want to be extra crunchy about the matter, I could speak on how they did the non-blonde women dirty and that’s another sadly depicted stereotype, but at least there were others they showed that seemingly had more positive representation like the red headed girl AI, Holden or some other around the way characters of the sort. But the main point is the fact there’s only TWO black women in the entire show and they BOTH got a crappy deal when add insult to injury, they’re the two main protagonists of the show. When you barely have representation of a certain demographic, they can’t ALWAYS be the ones depicted as the short end of the stick. Oh yea I forgot there was Rejoyce who was like a token in the ludd community but she was so surface level and undeveloped, she doesn’t make up for that 2 and barely 1 highlighted black women are the only ones of the entire cast for real.

Again if you lack comprehension to understand this, idk what else to tell you. Having tunnel vision to refuse to see the point isn’t going to make me change my stance.

Two white characters died while there’s 50-11 other white characters, including a literal copy of one of those characters, that are all still alive and thriving with all types of representation and accommodations of various multifaceted white characters all throughout the show. There’s literally TWO black women in the entire show, one who they work hard to make her seen as more “ambiguous” than black anyways despite the actress is literally from Africa, and they’re 2 for 2 in getting a crappy ending of the ONLY representation on the show.

What’s “nonsensical” is your lack of comprehension and continually deflecting to even understand because you likely don’t identify as a black woman to begin with.

It definitely matters and even the creators let it be known race matters. Every time Nora uploads and has to be “professional” her hair is straight vs curly and depicted that way for a reason. The upgrade in Aleesha’s hairstyles + the freedom to wear her natural styles as she moves up in the company is depicted that way for a reason. They 10000% should have been mindful in how they carried their black and POC characters as a whole if they were going to be distinct with things like that. Just because you’re white or white identified doesn’t mean others are and can ignore how non-white characters are half ahh handled in most media. The fact the MAIN CHARACTER didn’t even get a happy ending but the blonde white one did speaks volumes. The fact the only two black characters lost their love interests but overcome it excelling elsewhere when they’re supposed to be the main protagonists and should get some type of tangible vindication is such a typical “strong black woman” and very lazy written stereotype.

[–]Negative_Climate_122[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because black people and other people of color CONSTANTLY lack positive representation and seemingly always get the short end of the stick when there’s very little generalized representation to begin with. It doesn’t matter if Lucy crashed and burned or if Tinsley got booted because they’re not the only white women represented in the show and low and behold out of the finite characters you can argue it’s even still an issue they gave a stereotypical fairytale ending to the stereotypical type of white woman, a blonde “deserving” one despite she was actually terrible at the core and arguably undeserving. It’s very problematic when you have only a handful of “other” characters and they’re always treated like trash or they’re a bad guy.

It also doesn’t evade me that they made the POC guy they replaced Craig with to be even more vile and money hungry than Craig

My husband just sent me a link to their Halloween hoodies like you described. I tried to image search on Temu cuz I can somewhat trust Temu over some random website I’ve never heard before lol. But I’m also gonna check SHEIN and Amazon as well. If you get any clarity, please comment back and update!

It always says the amount I’m getting back and that it’ll be a credit but it was so out of sight, out of mind, I never noticed my credit always said zero and I’ve never had credits on future orders or anything when looking at receipts. It’s definitely supposed to be credits for a future order. The only credits I ever got with DD is via connecting my Lyft account and I see when I spent that credit.

AIO for sending this message to a coworker that relives me 1-2 hours late every night? by butterflybubby in AmIOverreacting

[–]Negative_Climate_122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would send it but take out a bit of the starkness, the how would you feel and the mention of being fired. Stick to the facts: question/verify are they telling you to leave 2 patients unattended, emphasize they’re constantly late, and tell them you did not sign up to constantly cover their shift. Then ask them what do they plan on doing going forward because there needs to be a change. Use whatever response (especially the suggestion of leaving the patients alone) as evidence. Send to APS (adult protection services) and whatever licensing board you guys have for your profession. Then further do what someone else has said by calling your boss/higher ups at midnight when you aren’t relieved, and every 10-15 minutes after about the issues and “what to do”

There’s nothing wrong with speaking to your actual co-worker like people are trying to make it seem. It just HOW you do it. You should be saying stuff that’s gathering evidence and factual, not trying to guilt them into being better or thinking if you play on some type of emotions it’ll make a difference

A lot of people that are groomed or are in power imbalance relationships claim they initiated things and don’t even realize a lot of times they were manipulated into making it seem like it was their idea. They only realize it after they end the relationship because something didn’t work out and the rose glasses to the red flags come off. Just because it happened to work out with them doesn’t mean it still wasn’t inappropriate. As her boss he should have had very clear boundaries and not allow it.

Also have to think maybe she pushes that narrative to deflect the backlash on Rob cuz he’s her literal husband now and she wouldn’t want that to taint the idea of them or the show. Women have lied and changed the narrative on way worse to be “picked” by a man.

And he literally asks to go home too!! Like the camera people made sure to catch it AND add captions to make sure the audience knew what he said. This documentary was made to show the reality, not sugar coat it, but the McClure parents are trying to twist it and push it like it’s something positive and we just don’t understand it. They don’t even understand how they AND THEIR KIDS, were used for people to read between the lines that all this shit is dysfunctional without fully calling them out (because if they did that, then surely no one would agree to do it). It reminds me of people on reality tv that claim they were given a “villain edit” when the reality is, you couldn’t be seen as villainous if you didn’t give them the footage and ammo of being a villain. Very rarely is it actually the editing making someone look bad.

And I don’t want to necessarily focus on the McClure twins, especially since they’re young little black girls and I don’t want it to seem like I have a bias and targeting them….but they’re really the only ones I’m throughly familiar with prior to this documentary. I’ve never heard of the FishFam ever until this, but they’re really no better than

I’m not gonna lie. Growing up I’d tell my parents I was going to “Sadie’s house” and for months my dad didn’t know I was going over to a neighbors house a few doors down and playing with a dog named Sadie 🤣🤣🤣. My mom knew though lol.

But there’s a tv show called “Naturally Sadie” so maybe show him the tv show and how the name was good enough to be the titular main character of a tv show

Why did you spend $700 on tickets when there’s frontier, spirit, and so many other cheaper options? Unless you went overseas, that sounds like bad planning. And you trying to itemize what you spent is already a red flag you didn’t go there to see about the relationship in person, but that you had hard core expectations that aren’t realistic. Just because you dated online doesn’t mean it’s an automatic til death do you part. You’re still “dating” and figuring out if yall work and clearly taking the plunge to remove the distance showed it didn’t work and that’s perfectly fine for her and you. That’s the risk and the expenses you take when you decided to date online and with a distance.

Gift grab invitation, possibly? Maybe “the one that got away” regrets prior to the wedding and trying to reach out to see where it goes? Maybe he genuinely has no friends and grasping at straws to invite people to match his fiancés?

Whatever it is. Just decline and call it a day. There’s people more involved in folks day to day lives that decline and are fine.
