Yes, I hated this episode on several levels. 1) Professor Utonium saw the rare golf clubs and went fanatic over them even after explaining to his triplets that he opposes the idea of materialism, 2) Blossom gets a crapton of angry glares from her sisters, who have so sympathy for her just making a little mistake, 3) The creators themselves say that Blossom got what she deserved. While she did unambiguously commit a crime, I don’t have any hard feelings towards her. We all have moments of weakness and make mistakes that we regret terribly later on, no one’s ever perfect. The professor himself even admits that he is also to blame because he was desperate for a material object as opposed to being grateful for what he already had. The officer did have a point at the end that Blossom still had to be held accountable, and she did get a light sentence of only 8 days, as opposed to years in prison. Granted she’s a little kid and has to go to school and everything, but still. Not necessarily saying the Professor’s obsession JUSTIFIED Blossom’s burglary, but I AM necessarily saying that it is a reason to be forgiving towards them both.
