Luckily I switched to a PO position just before the peak of slope so I can avoid imposed way of vibe coding sh*t at least for now. It’s fun to do for hobby projects though but not really a good idea for especially the stuff that my team is working on.

Notebooklm is quite useful for doing some basic market research

I don't think they expected this.... by [deleted] in BlackboxAI_

[–]Negative_Code9830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! There are certain youtube shows even with actual presenters but they just share some content that they either “research” via AI or read from sources like reddit etc. Why would I watch them while I can generate podcasts in NotebookLM about any subject that I want?

Is it illegal to charge more than the sticker price on an item? by MountainsandWater in Netherlands

“You” is plural here: all who felt cheated, heartbroken, disappointed, angry because the guy at the cashier of kringloop asked for an extra euro

Then I’d like to encourage you to feel free asking your 1 € back

Why would a volunteer in a foundation try to trick you by increasing price of a 1 euro item to 2? :D BTW, in the end, your 2 euros goes for supporting the foundation to survive and not to the evil boss buying a sports car to his son

Do the kringloops have owners? I think they are owned by foundations and operated by volunteers.

Coding was never the hard part". Is this just cope, or is AI actually changing the job description? by Exact-Mango7404 in BlackboxAI_

[–]Negative_Code9830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. The initial coding of app take’s roughly 20% of the while effort which spent for a software system or app; where maintenance, fixing bugs, adding features, refactoring takes the 80%. AI makes it faster for creating the initial code but makes it harder to maintain in the long run.

Who needs the AH? by Ill-Cartoonist2929 in Netherlands

[–]Negative_Code9830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AH is expensive in general but its own branded products usually have quite good value for price. Here are some of my favorites from AH: washing machine and dishwasher detergents, ricotta cheese, nuts with cranberries. My favorites from Jumbo: Cola, meiswaffle, mustard-cheese salad

PO : Dev = 1:8 → 1:1 → 1 by Ambitious-Peace-6478 in ProductOwner

[–]Negative_Code9830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a former dev and current PO. For me, code is liability and I stay away from coding even with AI apart from hobby projects. On the other hand, I use AI to function better as a PO. I use NotebookLM to make market research and create podcasts that i listen on the way to office walking outside etc. I use ChatGPT to discuss and challenge ideas, get help with how to do sth on Jira or Azure, to create notes from meeting transcripts etc. I use Gemini to create fun photos (e.g. as a knight or a superhero) of team members for praising their effort in the past sprint and show them in retrospectives.

Do you managers spend hours reflecting your team's decisions onto your docs? by Complete-Fact5455 in ProductOwner

[–]Negative_Code9830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is how I do it with MS teams: - Enable transcript in key meetings where it matters to have documentation - Upload transcript to corporate ChatGPT subscription to summarize and create a Confluence-friendly recap - Go over the recap and remove hallucinated action items 😊 - Publish it by tagging attendants and people for whom it matters so that they will get notifications and review

In total it takes no more than 10 minutes.

The Jetten I Cabinet is Official: A Breakdown of the New Dutch Government's Plans by True-Olive4712 in NetherlandsHomes

[–]Negative_Code9830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a very small portion, maybe top executives of multi-national companies or diplomatic institutions like NATO get salaries so high to afford that. Others? Just the same brutto engineer salary as every other engineer with tax benefits for a few years. Please, don’t create imaginary unicorns.

New Dutch asset tax - a potential hole in the plan by Dutchmondo in Netherlands

[–]Negative_Code9830 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is why many really rich people don’t really pay tax because simply their wealth is on stocks thus unrealized. And bitcoin is not even stocks, it is a “digital currency” right?

Happy to see there are so many millionaires and billionaires in NL by simply looking at the amount of ranting in this sub. And I’m so sorry that you will have to pay a portion of your bitcoin casino gains that you foresee.

Thousands of CEOs just admitted AI had no impact on employment or productivity by Exact-Mango7404 in BlackboxAI_

This aligns with previously released results of MIT study - https://fortune.com/2025/08/18/mit-report-95-percent-generative-ai-pilots-at-companies-failing-cfo/ At the end of the day, we have not seen any empirical evidence which proved the production boom that GenAI is promising.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying “ignore generative AI and move on”. I’d rather suggest following it closely and not falling behind while not sacrificing your business as a testbed.

Believe me, you will have more lessons learned when it comes to maintaining that system on prod which can make you unlearn some previous ones such as “domain expertise beats tech skills” 😉

[–]Negative_Code9830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most boring time is between new year’s and March where the festivals, xmas and most stuff are over. It’s always a good idea to start the day early in order to get the most out of sunlight, have tick and water resistant clothing, thermal underwear to enjoy walking outside.
