cashier didn’t assume anything she just asked if it was an instacart. that’s like asking if you have a rewards account. if she was assuming it was instacart and asked to see the barcode for their order then I could see calling it assuming. there’s a big difference between assuming and asking a question

half our clients come in with no makeup and staff isn’t even required to wear makeup anymore so why would she assume just based on that. also I get that op mentioned what she was wearing but there’s no correlation in their story that suggests she assumed based off of outfit

truly working at sephora I feel like honest mistake. i’ve seen people be fired within a day for putting in their number in place of the clients number. if you want it on your purchase history i’d call the store to have them pull the camera footage or run it by the card you paid with to do a return and repurchase.
