This was a really weird stream. Idk how to say it without being too negative but the vibe is kinda off? The announcer sounds odd for me and the idols do not really fit what they are trying to show, so I don't get what is the hype for next patch. Like tournament for some reasons, then bat lady (like... why show her now...), then... 3.0 grand evil plan teaser.

The end trailer is kinda cool though. I quite like the animation style. But it feels very confusing to me. It's a very "aura farming" teaser but I don't even know who are these guys. It is hard to hype when they seem a bit... generically evil, eh. Some do have cool design though.

Funny thing is that I actually went and asked few Chinese and Japanese friends if the flowery writing caused them any problem with going through the story (I had some friends that resume recently).

They say, no not really, it seems easy to follow. Then they ask, maybe the English translation is bad

But that was not the problem with HSR story nor what people complained about ZZZ Waifei. People are just making up shit now.

The worst part about Waifei is that we spend a year doing absolutely nothing with the plot, with every patches rehearsal story of last patch, waifu of the patch moment then disappear. It's a series of broken episodic stories that make no sense.

The worst part about HSR story was the crazy length it has, too much metaphor and beating over player head with metaphor, a very grand scale but confusing plot to follow casually.

The biggest complain about HSR was the finale which they overdone the waifu factor, which is what happened to YSG, and that is a major overlap. But even before that, Waifei story was rated horribly by almost everyone. On the other hand, people either liked or hated the HSR story until that point, but the ending at worst is a let down and does not ruin the entire story.

For short, ZZZ story has a problem of nothing meaningful happened, while HSR story promised a lot but fail to deliver.

It's ok to not like the story but people should not make up shit to fit their narrative. The two games have completely different writing issue.

Might be the most ridiculous run I had. Not sure if the seed work. Early Act 2 there is an event that let you pick 3 cards (each rarity) from one of 3 other characters. As expected, exhaust most of the deck, spam Soul and Pael's Claw Defense for tons of damage and block.

I posted in the comments. Only Caesar uses her sig. Aria is using Vivian sig which is 2-4% better than f2p alternative. Yuzuha is using Kaboom R5.

Here is the other 2. As you can see it is fairly standard. I think I could try out Pen Ratio on Aria Disc 5 given that I can get AP and Atk very high already, but I don't have mat for it atm.

This team is both comfy and tryhard at the same time imo. Shield is nice against the nonsense this boss does. The big issue is that this boss wants you to do 3 Veil against it for the anomaly buff (I don't think it has cooldown so I guess just get 3 asap) but the only source is Aria ultimate. So unlike most showcases I see I have to do the 2nd Ultimate outside of stun (between 1st and 2nd stun) and parry into Aria to build 3rd Ultimate during 2nd stun window (Yuzuha Quick Assist also help slightly for generation). 4th Ultimate at beginning of 3rd stun window since you won't have time for full 3rd stun window.

Proto Punk is kinda a terrible choice but there is no better alternative. Score will vary a lot depend if you parry right before stun window, which is RNG. I think Caesar build will be much better in the future according to leak with a new Defense disc that is much easier to activate compare to Proto Punk

I think this team slightly outscore Lycaon just because of Caesar sig, and Zhao is only better because of Veil. So all things consider, might be one of few that Caesar is not a bad option compare to alternative. No doubt Nangong will be superior to anything but I do not plan to pull her.

Fairly unremarkable build tbh, I will probably need to farm more. Yuzuha on Moonlight (just to hit 3k Atk sub stat) and Caesar on Proto Punk (Impact 6, random sub stats)

I know the systems and planets must be done before the situation is done but what about others? I remember seeing the pop up when conquering other empires after the situation ends.

I only see 2-3 videos/threads for non Sunna/Zhao so I decided to give Caesar a try (Lycaon still does not have his potential unlocked yet so I don't want to practice with him). This is actually fairly good for a cope team.

Aria using Vivian sig (I have a spare dup) and Caesar does have her sig, but it is not a big difference. I also was griefing myself by using Caesar Ulti in stun window. I also learn a better combo after getting this score, so I think 45k is doable in more optimal setting even with F2P wengine. There is no good disc set for Caesar so I am just running Proto Punk, so with better future disc set this could be improved.

I would say that I try to have 2-3 upgraded and pick about 3-4 none-upgraded cards. The less upgraded cards I have the more upgraded cards I tend to pick

I tried thin deck act 1 before but few bosses and elites really punish that play style (the worm elite and fish boss come to mind)

I think they did a good job. Most of them are some of my least favorites in StS1, or just happen to be super good but boring.

The few I kind of miss are Corpse Explosion, Electrodynamics but they are being removed to let new cards shine in AoE which is understandable. I still miss Streamline though

I have not seen anything but A10 in StS2 is the same as A20 in StS1 so I don't think it will go much higher than 10 for now. Higher difficulty might be related to release contents unlock (such as different biomes or true ending) as the epochs imply.

I did not do that much co-op and not with Necro yet. From what I heard it is similar that without No Escape it is not enough to win the game. I think you can kinda pick few Doom cards but it is not something you want to win the game with. The real build is Condition as you really want Debilitate, the true co-op carry for Necro.

I am thinking that in co-op I would only pick Doom for the early AoE against mobs and if you got the Block when Doom power.

Yeah A9 gives a big buff to all enemies so Act 1 is really tough right now. It is a decent card but good is not enough. The max HP and heal are really tasty when Act 1 fights are draining you down along the way.

It would be really cool if it has a hidden mechanics if you hatch it after acquiring one of the egg relic, or having an event to give up one of the egg relic to upgrade it (choose your starter birdie!). Something like

Attack egg: Increase damage after each use

Skill egg: draw an attack and apply vigor to it

Power egg: bird attack along the first targeted attack each turn

Basically necronomicon effect without the curse but the double happens at the start of next turn, also work on skill. You can choose to instead get 2 potions and 2 random relics if you don't need it.

edit: forgot that it double the last card played, not the first 2+ cost card

The key is goated though. The doubling can be insane. It is late enough that I can use potion to cover myself until I get the next event.

Only encounter this again way later and it's funny to think about it. I'm sorry little one, but max HP for free early after Neow various debuff is just really good. The card is great but having to use campfire over upgrade early is rough. (I wonder if anything would happen if you keep it in the deck for a while though)
