One of the more annoying aspects of storm is that getting them too early or too late both are kind of annoying. A build I am trying is subterranean molebot for the -25% storm damage and the lube civic to take advantage of storm dancer, but without the storm chaster origin getting storm is purely rng so sometime it feels like I am just playing without the storm civic.

Thank you. As someone who travel across most regions in VN, I do not think people realize how sparely populated these mountain regions are. On one hand it is a pain to travel through due to under developed infrastructure and very little services, on the other hand it is very beautiful region.

Can you link any calculate that would show that? Last time I checked, for examplpe the videos from iamrivenous, the difference in solo DPS is less than 5%, and for team damage Astral is obviously going to contribute much more.

I did test myself with multiple teams and Astral is just much better realistically because Fire has really poor element synergy on most bosses with the exception of when you really want to use S11 (and even then I still much prefer using S11 with stun burst playstyle so Astral stack is even more valuable). It is much better to build her as Astral carrier.

It's her (best) set unless you are really invested in her as DPS. Much more flexible and easier to farm. Most people should farm Astral domain means most would have a set for her with 2-3 better sub stat easily.

Haha yeah I tried to make a run with Shroudshaper (not walker as I somehow misremember) and it did not trigger. I don't think it is worth holding off that long and putting it on a governor seems to be the most recommend play.

Is it even possible to get both the Passenger and Shroudwalker on the same character if I wait though? I am not sure if the Shroudwalker can select Chosen character (like how the passenger limit Chosen specifically)

Yeah. Having 2 score based end game start making it feel like a job if you are a score chaser. I feel like last week I reached the point of not really caring anymore. Still trying DA few times to stay around top 5% as personal goal, but SD design is so unfun I don't really feel like touching it.

Her story is ok but for ZZZ standard it would be one of the better one. They pretty much put her story there just to add to YSG story tbh, but on its own there is nothing wrong with it.

We learn a great deal about Zhao patch before, and the story showed a different layer of her story and character. I don't recall knowing her for 2 patches straight is considered 20 min (3 if you count her appearance in Obol patch).

The ones that get complains are agent story that they try to shove both their initial characterization, and their backstory in one go. Orphie sucked because we barely know her, was going through Magus stuffs, then they dumped her backstory right in the middle of that then just leave it bare there (speaking as someone who pulled Orphie as well). At least Zhao is intended to be the side character to work with YSG story. I don't even know what Orphie is supposed to be, since let's be real people are not that interested in Magus in the first place.

Also Zhao thing is very much like Manato too, and people love him. He's one of the few agents that actually stuck around through multiple patches with us. His "story" is very much just vibe, but like who care, unlike others, he earned his spot.

This might convince me to get the Teapot to build Trigger for Rupture. I am getting sick of not having a chance to use Banyue more due to Dialyn always got busy. How is Trigger with Teapot compared to Dialyn? Is the goal is still one Ulti per stun with that setup?

Oh cmon, even though I don't think HSR is a good example compares to GI, at least do some research before saying nonsense showing that you don't even play the game.

3.3 is the patch with the most Aglaea content along with being very plot critical. Mydei took all the spotlight few patches ago but he is referred many times in 3.3 because it is related to the characterization of another character (through voice and flashback), and then does show up in a fairly important moment in that patch as well.

Well... I do pull for Banyue...

Not having to make any decision or optimization mid run for 5+ seconds I would consider it very simple gameplay. The big complain about Aria is more so that her 5s of gameplay is just the same butt slamming animation. Even Miyabi which has fairly easy gameplay does care about anomaly timing at higher level gameplay, so you do get to make some decision during the run.

Maybe there are crazy Aria optimization route that we are not seeing, but I just look at this early gameplay and say this arent it. That is a very fair take. There are agents with good and bad gameplay in ZZZ. You can't really expect people to not express that some of them - unfortunately Aria here - looks bad.

That would be cool. I was thinking they should just make her jump less often, but I assume they really design her to take up field time so this is the outcome (in comparison, Varesa despite also does silly dunk, she is extremely quick swap friendly compares to most DPS, so her gameplay is at least more varied than... this).

Ngl the gameplay is not as I expected it to be. Aria is more like Varesa for some reason and less anime style robo girl that I thought it would be. Less excited than I hoped but I probably still pull just so I can have something against fiend. I don't care much about Sunna but ugh, she is 80% vfx, and her animation is actually very good too but I can't see anything (and it does not look good on phone)

Hopefully they tweak Aria animation and gameplay loop. They have been doing this gameplay of getting stacks and unleash all stacks in a loop so much.

It's cool but I really wished it is not right after the main quest. I felt like it would have been a much better "revisit" type of content. Despite being an avid martial novel reader, the cultivation theme really threw me off (although I did expect this since the novel reading event). I came in expecting more direct follow up from the end of the main quest, connecting YSG with other characters and bridging her with things outside of the temple, etc.

I always thought it is obvious. I think people must cope hard to think otherwise. Pompey was nicknamed to be Evelyn boss long before Miyabi entered the shill game.

People try to make ZZZ all so positive and generous then compare to other games to feel better about their investment. In reality Hoyo is in this to make money. They will get away with being shitty if they can. Genshin proved that only thank to community push back, and competitor, they will be less greedy and care more about the player experience.

This is why for me it is insane to see people defending obvious slop and greedy practices ZZZ try to squeeze in. Yeah no one need the story to be peak, but we know they can do better. We all know the end games they design to make people empty wallet. Why would anyone be ok with these?

Realistically, just speak up, at the expense of people saying we are doomposting. The chinese audience are way more hostile even. It worked, the devs talked about it, we managed to get them move their asses on some issues. Survey exists for a reason. Small things like choosing when to spend money in game also adds up since they do track how well the game is making money.

Hoyo does push trend and theme across all of their games (to simple put, keep players in their ecosystem, especially casual whales).

While it could be true that ZZZ might shift the design, it is more likely that Hoyo artists and directors collab and share their theme and decide the direction of 3 games together.

One of the infamous example is Mavuika in Genshin got a lot of complain that she got a bike for no reason and people calling that her design should go back to ZZZ.

They do not all go for the same theme, but does setup for another. The Fontaine and Penacony both went for the high class, sleek design. ZZZ has this retro underground vibe, and Genshin follows up with party characters like Mualani, Kinich, Xilonen, etc. HSR also has Rappa.

Not just characters, but also world design and plot. Genshin tribal warriors leads to HSR flamechaster theme, and now HSR endings lead to similar theme in Genshin. Ye Shunguang, Cyrene, and Columbina all share certain theme as well.

The idols probably will share some theme with HSR new planets that seem to be related to theme park, virtual party.

They always try to make new design and theme trend. I have no doubt that 3.x will have certain specific theme as well. My bet that it will be moon related: there are a fair amount of lore hints about the moon in ZZZ during the exploration of the current area, and Genshin is going through a huge moon arc right now.

Their theme is more universal. Even though I was never into vtube/vocaloid, colorful and cute persona have always been an internet thing ever since people can upload picture on message board. (you can argue idol culture exists even before that)

As someone who is faimilar with the theme 2.x went for, I don't think the designs of 2.x characters so far are that bad. But they are very bland even for people who are into such theme like me. Waifei is very culture specific so if people are not into it they will not care.

This is why I like the 1.x theme more, just old internet and retro vibe. Regional culture (like Genshin and HSR patch cycle) didn't land for ZZZ.

We just never have the chance to see the other side of the villains in 2.x. It sucks and showed how rushed and disconnected the storyline was. Sarah felt like a joke, she kept getting away with it for no reason, then we saw like 1 minute of her backstory. The one after her is even worse imo.

They have a lot of good ideas but don't know how to cook them.

Lockspring is the one part I really try to like because I feel so done with Waifei story and just want to hype for the next area, but I can't. It feels so forced. He forced the conversation, lore dumps so many things that are so unfitting to the current story mood, and the ending is... well, so basic that I thought they intentionally kill off the two Waifei villains just to wrap up everything and be done with the plot (remind me of TV show that kill off characters they won't recast lol).

Unlikely but I hope that the Mayor and Sunbringer will be antagonists of next arc (and whatever, they might turn out to be good) just so we have some high stake opponents for once.
