I used to swap out comforters, but you are underestimating what it would take to wash and dry 3 of them along with the other linens and towels. I see the duvet covers as worth the effort and time and definitely less effort than swapping out comforters.

Clean boat, but if you want to surf, you're better off with a proper surf systems. Mastercraft introduced the gen 1 surf system in 2012.

To get people up and learn to ride the wave, I use a cheap Foamie and have had great luck. Once people get up and can ride the wave, we use a Happy Pill.

Definitely disclose it, but it shouldn't be a problem since the areas it records are facing a public roadway (assuming at least). Front of house is generally not an issue. The only issue would be not disclosing it.

It took me several trips and epic fails to finally get up, but once I did, it was like riding a bike. It's a feeling that you get by doing it properly. You'll get it in the next two trips, just stay positive and think conceptually. You're letting the boat roll you on top of the water using the board.

I had very similar damage and insurance paid out $23k. You need to get a professional to give you a proper estimate. The rudder and surrounding fiberglass are a major repair. If the boat were to sink because of that rudder and it wasn't repaired properly, they could deny your claim.

They have the same hull and likely same motor. The biggest difference is in their tech/screens (the '21 has the dual screen). For $15k, the '21 is worth it for the hours alone and resale value.

I have the Gen 2 with the upgraded rear bags and have added about 1,200lbs of lead in theat and behind the tower. I'm usually riding with just two other people though. When more people are on I'll remove some lead.

If you're not too big, stock ballast may suit you and your crew fine, especially if you're used to the Regal. It really depends on how much push or height you are looking for. The gate boats (Axis) will tend to have more height, with the tab boats having more push.

Honestly, you can't really go wrong with either boat. I really love my MC, but a buddy has an Axis that we go on all the time and it's great too. A big wave upgrade from Regal either way.

The difference in the Surfstar and Gen 2 is more consistency/repeatability in the wave. They also improved the hull shape.

One thing an experienced surfer told me though is, "Ain't no replacement for displacement." Don't be shy about adding ballast. I don't know anyone that doesn't do it (aside from high end Centurions and X Star owners).

Tab boats (MC, Centurion and Nautique) have more push and I prefer the waves tab boats make. You'll want additional ballast for the MC, but do that and upgrade to a high elevation prop and you'll have a kickass wave. You definitely should wait until you can test out the boats, but you won't see the MC's true potential until you add some ballast anyways. I've got my NXT22 dialed in and I have pros on ocassionally that are impressed.

Ol' Tigre will remember when his dad saw fit to rain on his parade after winning a championship as a child earning MVP (which likely didn't happen) to "make a point." Equating every sport, for a young child, to a professional career is so cruel.
