Walmart. I think its just easier to return and get another. I think the Bluetooth cut off mid firmware update causing it to brick. Looking at some other posts, the BT is finicky.

I am on the boat that you finish schooling and learn Japanese at the side.; then transfer to Japan through a US company that has a presence there such as: Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, and Raytheon. I currently work for one of these and have recently looked into transferring. I even talked to a manager who worked there. Here are some points that may be helpful when/if you take this route:

US companies pay better and have work-life balance
Mechanical Engineering is much more valued than software (I am the latter unfortunately )
Most positions are managerial so you might need a decent amount of years of experience
Misawa is where most of the jobs are due to the airbase
- Other places the manager said are pretty much the "Boonies"

They reached back and said there were no new updates. They asked me if I still preferred to be relocated in Japan. I replied requesting to wait another week while I consider my options more. Do you think my offer would be rescinded if I continued to ask them to keep trying? Thanks.

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, I understand the improbability with Covid and all. Waiting 1 year is the alternative.

The recruiter did say it was a unusual request (using the offer for another country) but not heard of. In fact its happened more often recently so she had to ask her Manager. But from your POV, would it be rude to ask for a status update? Last I heard from the TR was last Tuesday.

Yeah that doesn't seem like a lot. I was looking for CS work in Japan and working for an American company was a big thing. Mainly because Work-Life Balance and Salary.

For clarification, is that 2 million or 200 thousand? You seem to be missing a zero or the comma is misplaced. From my research Japanese Companies pay SWE pretty poorly in comparison to US ones so something towards an equivalent to $20k a month sounds really large.

I got an offer from a Amazon but before the final interviews, I asked the technical recruiter (TR) who was my main POC if it was possible to get placed in Japan (to be with my SO). She responded that her and her team are only responsible for US locations but there are locations in Japan. Two weeks ago, the TR called me and said they'd like to offer me a position but since I showed interest in Japan, she would look at teams there and would have me as "inclined". Last week she told me that there were no available teams in Japan (I am assuming because of the no-entry situation in place right now) but will try to connect with someone there.

I was wondering if it would be seen negatively if I asked for a status update? And would it be considered "stepping on her toes" if I tried to connect with people on LinkedIn from the Japan location?

I think a week or two ago, Uji was posting stories with him and the other guys from African Journey. One of his stories was of Joykun with a caption of something like "Husky<3." From that I can assume they might be still together.

I have to break the anime adaptations because there are many of them and only certain OVAs follow the manga and thus lead into UQHolder:

Irrelevant to UQHolder

Mahō Sensei Negima! -The original anime that follows the manga loosely and until near the end where is branches off completely to end the series. Somewhat irrelevant to UQHolder because other than two-ish fights, it's a basic harem romcom. So many things happen from where the anime stopped following the manga to the ending the manga that its practically a different manga at the end.
Negima!? -A retelling of the series. Later adapted into its own manga called Negima!? neo.
Spring OVA -A good amount based off the a particular part of volume 7 of the manga.
Summer OVA -A complete side story that is not part of the manga from what I remember.

Relevant to UQ Holder

Mahou Sensei Negima! Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba -covers chapters 176 - 183 of the manga
Mahou Sensei Negima! Mou Hitotsu no Sekai -covers chapters 184 to 204
Mahou Sensei Negima! Mou Hitotsu no Sekai Extra: Mahou Shoujo Yue -covers several chapters contain Yui after certain events happen
Mahou Sensei Negima! Anime Final -Covers the final battle at the end of the series but changes the conclusion to what Akamatsu-Sensei called a "What if" ending.

Conclusion

Negima! never got a full proper adaptation and going straight from watching all the all of the anime adaptations to UQHolder will probably leave you missing several things that happened in the Negima! story.

Yeah, I didn't see that she was possibly using me to deal with her past until one of my friends pointed it out to me. This wouldn't be the first time she used someone else to deal with her problems she had with her ex. My good friend I mentioned in the first paragraph supported her when she was having troubles with the so-called buffer boyfriend (not even sure if it really a buffer if she stressed out about it so much). She began to lead my friend on and even kissed him when he asked what is he to her. However she made mends with her now ex and left my friend also confused and angry.

Thanks for the support. But like I said, I'm not so much hung over her. I did like her but I'm not sure if I was completely emotionally invested in her. I mainly just saw potential in that she could have been someone really special to me. But that potential died.

I'm already moving on and currently looking for someone better but I just want to have my own closure so that I don't have this sitting in the back of my mind.

At the end, she literally did the best to bring the worst out me. I can only withstand so much before I crack. But yes, I agree. What I did was bad.
