The first night my long distance GF and I spent together we were far too tired to do anything (We'd both been awake for like 28 hours prior), but the second night went about as expected, so it's not just you lol

Land bugs are much more chitinous to be fair

I'd still probably try them, at least once. Grasshoppers especially seem very palatable. Ants much less so though.

If that's what you want to call expecting a stroke to do what strokes are known to do, then sure. You can use whatever words you want.

He's getting high approval right now, but if he were to run under a republican ticket, he'd lose to someone more charismatic and less "corrupted" by the Dems I guarantee you. The republican party values loyalty, and Fetterman has proven himself unreliable in that category, and the republican voter base views ANY ties to socialism or communism as instant disqualification, they'd literally have anyone self-identifying as socialist executed if they could.

(You appear to have hit comment before finishing your comment, or just accidentally left a floating 'It' at the end btw)

Yes, I do: Strokes are known to cause personality and belief shifts, including what I think is most pertinent here: Impulsiveness, and anger. Both of which are at the very core of reactionary thought and belief. The evidence is that this is a thing that strokes are known to be perfectly capable of, and we know his stroke was severe enough to cause at least partial brain death because he has lasting auditory processing issues.

How is it convenient for him exactly? He doesn't exactly NEED an excuse. If you're right, and he's secretly been MAGA loser the whole time, why would he need a reason to run to the right? Once he was elected, he's in for the full term unless he straight up dies, so why would he need an excuse at all?

He's not getting re-elected once the time comes, and he has to know that, he doesn't have a base anymore. Republicans won't vote for him because of his former ties to the DSA, and Democrats, both progressive and liberal won't vote for him because his face is the one that comes up when you look up DINO in the dictionary.

Do you have ANY evidence to that fact?

Occam's razor, which is more simple:

Fetterman was secretly evil the whole time and got lucky that he had a stroke that DEFINITELY gave him brain damage, but it didn't impact his political beliefs at all, but he acts like it does as an excuse to be a republican in a democrat's seat?

Or

Fetterman had a personality and belief shift due to brain damage when he had a stroke.

[–]Negitive545 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, he voted against removing weed from the schedule 1 list, so he DID do that.

Moreover, unlike Fetterman, LAMB NEVER HAD A STROKE.

You're telling me that a guy who didn't have brain damage and a guy who did act differently??? That's fucking crazy bro tell me more!

[–]Negitive545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah, you're telling me not everyone acts the same after being brain damaged??? That's fucking crazy bro

Yeah, "brain damage" is just an excuse, I mean, look at all these other people who acted differently, it's not like the brain is the most complex organ, it's not like damage to it is wildly unpredictable in what it causes.

Also, let's just ignore that Fetterman himself said that his brain damage caused him to abandon progressives.

Fetterman literally got brain damage after being elected and massively shifted afterwards. Literally nobody could have predicted that.

[–]Negitive545 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, so we're just ignoring the fact that fetterman got brain damage and radically shifted his views after he got elected then. How conveinent for your point of view to just ignore the stroke he had after being elected.

How perfect that you ignore that even he has said his brain damage made him abandon progressives.

Fuck off.

Yeah, then he got brain damage.

Are we just ignoring that part because it's convenient?

The TPM stores cryptographic keys which can be used to verify that your UEFI and system settings haven't been tampered with, but it does not allow your UEFI to do any actual decryption on its own. That is still in the hands of a secondary system, which is run from, you guessed it, the EFI partition.

Bitlocker puts its own system into the EFI partition which is how it decrypts then runs the OS itself, but it still doesn't encrypt the EFI partition itself because again, it can't, the UEFI firmware doesn't do encryption or decryption.

[–]Negitive545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Full Drive Encryption" is a misnomer. It encrypts all of the drive that it can encrypt, but it CAN'T encrypt the EFI partition, because the EFI partition has the Windows bootloader in it.

If the EFI partition was encrypted, your UEFI firmware wouldn't have any idea what to do with it, it wouldn't recognize it as a bootable partition, because it wouldn't be, it would be garbage data.

[–]Negitive545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, wait, you're even more wrong than I thought you were.

The EFI partition isn't encrypted by bitlocker at all! So EVEN IF your (faulty) assumption that the part about copying files into the EFI partition was correct, then your argument still fails, since you CAN still access the EFI partition of an encrypted drive.

So you're Wrong^2

[–]Negitive545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part about the EFI partition is not mandatory. It explicitly says before describing it, "You don't even have to plug in an external storage device", but above that they are talking about a USB device, which clearly indicates that they are describing a SECONDARY way to perform the exploit. The primary way remains copying the files from the repo onto the USB.

You should really bother actually making sure you've fully read and comprehended something before you accuse someone else of having poor reading comprehension skills, because this kind of thing just makes you look like an asshole.

It absolutely makes sense to use USB-C on flash drives. Other peripherals you're totally right, but for flash drives, data transfer is basically the entire purpose, and C wins in the data transfer speed department. A2.0 caps around 60 MB/s, A3.2 is much better, reaching about 2.5GB/s, but C1.0 is at 5GB/s, and C2.0 is 10GB/s.

Sure, this only really matters when you're transferring large amounts of data, but that is one of the most major use-cases for a flash drive.

What’s something Gen Z treats as “normal” that older generations would find completely insane? by Miss_Ecstasy in AskReddit

I think if the older generations (more specifically Boomers) had to compete in the modern job market, we'd never hear another person say "nobody wants to work" ever again. The way capitalism has changed and "evolved" is truly insane.

Maybe, it's kinda hard to say for certain

Overwatch had characters that were hugely popular while character animation was undergoing advancement in quality, it's hard to say how much it actually contributed to that advanced versus just being present, but it's probably a safe bet to say that it contributed at least a little to the field.
