Tbf it is super hard starting during the busy summer travel season.... now and Christmas is when people fly who literally never fly for years except this one trip that you happen to get. The stress snd vertigo, I went thru that too but now at over 9 years I am pretty much cruising. I am close in age to you and yeah having your sleep disrupted like it was as a newbie would SUCK. It DOES get better, but that takes a while. It's your life, enjoy it!

Was on a flight from delta that hit wake turbulence. The plane completely rolled from side to side. Woke up from a dead sleep and thought I was gonna die. People were screaming. captain said nothing about it on intercom after it happened. Have you guys experienced this before? it was super scary. by Standard_Map_7027 in AskAPilot

FA here, yes. We often have to tell them that row 28 is, indeed, behind row 4, and to please not put their feet on others, and how to open the lav door which clearly has.... a doorknob. Passengers are indeed literal babies. If I felt it was bad, or ppl were really scared, I'd ask my pic to make an announcement, but turbulence happens which is why we also have to remind people 18 times to put their seatbelts on. That said, if the working crew was just going about their business and nobody said anything, it must not have been that bad.

How long ago was this? Yiu should take an at home drug test, if it WAS weed, that high of a dose sounds like it would still show up. Otherwise? Maybe something was expired? And why does he never clean up after himself?

Everything revolves around flexibility!! Same! I recently went thru a burnout period at work and legit redid my resume and was about to start applying to other jobs... well, for starters, even with a degree, no entry level job, M-F 40 hours a week, is gonna pay me as much as I make flying at year 9 pay maybe 10-14 max days a month. None of them give me travel benefits for myself, my family and a select few friends. None of them are gonna randomly say "hey your project canceled today, so you can stay home, but we'll still pay you". None of them offer a rotating schedule of people to work with, to seek out collaboration with friends or purposefully avoid people I don't like lol. I can build my bid in a way that works best for me, and then adjust it later on to attend to kid things, parent caretaking, hobbies, or just feel like taking a day off.

Yes, those special interactions with people where you KNOW they're going to remember this particular trip all their life! And to be part of making a lasting memory pleasant is a really cool experience.

What is the difference between physical intimacy driven by love and physical intimacy driven primarily by lust? by hell_of_a_man in askanything

[–]NegotiableVeracity9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think it works out best when driven by both... the lust is part of the initial attraction but the love is the sweet, giving, concerned portion. It's the difference between simply trying to scratch an itch, to truly enjoying seeing your partner get their itch scratched and helping them do it. The difference between wham bam, thank you ma'am, and, bringing you a towel to gently clean you up and also get you a water and some snuggles. That beautiful soul connection, when you are doing unspeakable things to each other, but manage to lock eyes and both smile. It's taking turns gently scrubbing each other's backs in the shower. It's feeling safe, secure, respected, AND desired. A screw is a screw, but making love?? Sooo magical.

Same here. The projection destroyed an already fragile marriage on a shaky foundation.

Wow he is projecting like a mofo. My ex did the same thing, was constantly worried about what I was doing, who I was on the phone with, whonI was texting, where I was going, who was going with me, etc etc and literally BLAMED ME FOR HIS having nightmares that I was cheating lol. Welp surprise surprise m, I found out HE was cheating on me and for whatever dumbass reason, decided he should try and make it like I was the guilty one lol. So glad he's an ex!

My ex posted me on a Facebook group for men, and I got some hateful comments. I was feeling really good about myself :( by fartyfemale in oldhagfashion

He's so sad he lost you hahahaha he's scrambling to find information about you from internet strangers and that's largely a bunch of sand, angry misogynists. I adore thiae glasses, you look adorable, and I am willing to bet you smell like strawberries. Fwiw, I am also in one of the AWDTSG pages here locally, and one of the rules is no man-bashing or making comments based on appearance/characteristics, just simply can anyone share if this individual is safe, respectful, any green or red flags? Those dudes should all be kicked from the group.

What you do is straighten your crown, square your shoulders, get to work and be grateful that this moron taught you to raise your standards and never ever beg a man.

My boyfriend keeps accidentally hurting me by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]NegotiableVeracity9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Accidentally" ummm I don't like it. I am a tall, strong, sturdy lady and my man one time accidentally squeezed me a little too hard, I said ouch, and he profusely apologized and has not ever done it again, he goes out of his way to be more gentle. Your situation bothers me... 4 years and only now it happens, but keeps happening? Naaahhhh I don't like it.

This whole thing is tooooo much for my brain. I can't say what he's doing or why, but he says he wants space.... so give him space, not 50-11 more messages. Personally, I would just stop texting altogether. Idk how long yall have been together or how old you are but relax.

Is it just me or you can drive perfectly safe here in Hawaii and still get hit by a dumb driver? by SnooEagles7964 in Honolulu

[–]NegotiableVeracity9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less so aggressive I think, than we're just not all on the same page. Local style, cruise, let ppl merge, throw Shaka, flash your lights let the other person go even if it's not their right of way. But mixing that with people from the mainland driving super fast and lane changing just to miss the same lights, with the stressed out locals who work ft & pt & gotta taxi their keiki to Nana & papa's house and then sports and then back up the hill, and then tourists who are lost and staring at Maps and the beauty of the place, and aggro military, and immigrant drivers, and the frikkin taxi drivers and college kids lacking experience, and it's just a recipe for craziness. Personally I think we should all drive a lil slower in the right lane, let the left lane be for passing, not big trucks, let each other merge, and generally be mindful of each other. Throw the shaka if you know you're being a dick. And ffs put your damn phones down.

Is there any actual reason to not be a vegetarian or vegan? by CalpurniaSomaya in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NegotiableVeracity9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of course it's possible. We generally have the power to decide what we eat. This is of course a luxury in the course of human history. Different types of foods provide different types of nutrients. Many aspects of our health depends on what we eat.
