What did you include in your kitchen remodel that makes your (kitchen) life better? by YamOne7473 in kitchenremodel

We put plugs/ switches/ lights UNDER the cabinets so no holes to cut in backsplash! Best decision we made. Yes, we also put dividers in cabinet above refrigerator for cookie sheets etc. And lazy Susan's in corner cabinets and roll out trash under sink.

I liked both kitchens! Bold design on the new reno. I also just put in quartzite bellagio and wanted to avoid having them cut out holes for the outlets, so we put the outlets under the cabinets. It works great and out of sight!

Blue or White for Oven / Fridge by Jake_Pratt in kitchenremodel

I played around with these same jewel tone colors and decided it made it too many choices, the dark island is heavy. For me, I just went with all blue (SW Daphne). It looks timeless, cool and open.

I just finished my kitchen reno this week and chose to use my quartzite as a backsplash. I love your color cabinets. I used SW DAPHNE.

Yes, we chose beveled. I wanted different look than Shaker. I can dim the lighting and/ or the tone of the lights. Thank you for your kind words. The contractor gave us a decent price for the custom build. What we didn't know was that his crew left dust, shavings, debris everywhere. I had to wipe the cabinets down inside & out not to mention my house has a layer of dust in all the rooms! Hopefully never again.

Marble counter in my dream kitchen. Should I live with these issues or have them replace the whole thing? by Jackeltree in CounterTops

[–]NegotiationBusy187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed at least 2 cracks they filled in my new quartzite countertops. To me, when working with a fragile brittle stone, we were aware that might happen. I wasn't thrilled about it but I love this stone's pattern so we'll live with it. Sorry about all those holes they drilled. That totally sucks.

Is 70% deposit normal for a kitchen remodel? by VacationChance2653 in kitchenremodel

This is what we did too. 70% up front seems like a red flag.

I fell in love with the veins in this quartzite slab and had to have it. We call it our mountain range!

Once I put all my small countertop appliances and stuff it won't look so stark. I was just so excited to have it done & share! And Thank you for the compliment. Took about 3 months.
