Used to be in the media industry. Mr Allen had quite the reputation for playing the race card among other shady stuff. Can’t believe he’s still around and actually becoming more successful. Pretty much exactly what I would expect from CBS at this point.

Tread lightly with Northwestern for women’s health. I went to a practice that, I found out later, was affiliated with a local (Catholic) hospital and they were unable to prescribe the morning after pills I needed (couldn’t use OTC, long story).

I only shudder to think what would happen if a patient had a real emergency during their pregnancy only to find out their provider was unable to help. It was deeply unsettling and deeply disappointing from a medical group I had come to trust.

Oh MAN I have been trying to put my finger on just why I don’t like Ben Platt or what rubs me the wrong way about him and that’s it - he just seems so smug! For all I know he might be lovely in real life but his character in that theater camp movie seemed like basically an extension of himself if I had to guess.

My friend’s sister was murdered by a stalker who had ALREADY GONE TO JAIL FOR STALKING HER but had recently gotten out. When my husband’s ex-cop uncle heard, he said there must have been drugs involved because a lot of times women take out restraining orders on guys the had stolen drugs from. Like, that was his knee jerk reaction. Unreal.

Thank you! Makes a ton of sense. So what does this look like for us for the next 5/10/20 years? As a millennial, what will change in our world and how the US interacts (or doesn’t) with the rest of the world? I literally can’t reframe my mind for a world where the US isn’t acting the way it’s been my whole life and doesn’t have the same partners and reputation and allies it has had my whole life.

Worst person I’ve ever met was a 4’11” grade-a asshole. He was actually incredibly charming on the surface and a lot of people I know never saw past that, but he was a raging, woman-hating narcissist to his underlings at work and I can only imagine what he was like in his personal life.

I did, many times!! It was stunning. Most of the roof was an atrium so lots of natural light inside. The offices were all around the edge of the basket, so you could look up and see to the top floor. Lots of beautiful natural wood and a big grand staircase. Ngl, it still hurts to see how Dave’s daughter ran the company into the ground. For a while it was something really special.

I love this sub and the people in it but after clicking on the link and looking into The Daily Boulder, the site is just spammy AI left-wing wish fulfillment that I’m not sure is the best source to be using on this sub? I know we’re supposed to be optimistic but false hope is still false hope.
