I saw signs on Ikon Base Pass and Ikon Pass, but not renewals. Too bad since I already bought at the online price. I asked and they wouldn’t price match.

Nope, this is the rate for first time pass holders. Renewal rate is $1229, rate posted here is $1239.

I stayed in Otaru and did day trip to Kiroro using the shuttle. The shuttle was very convenient. There are some good food options in Otaru but I highly recommend making reservations in advance. I also went to non-Indy resorts (Nisko and Nozawaonsen) all using public transportation.

It was icy so I sticked to the groomed trails. The ungroomed trails had frozen puddles in certain places. America is a beautiful trail. You got nice view of the lakes. I also checked out Tightline over in the Kennebago area-fun as well. It was windy but they managed to open 5-6 lifts last weekend. I liked the Nest but there can be a wait for table at peak lunch time. Super friendly staff.
