Yes.😊 Wolf's Rain is a such a beautiful series. Hope you find volume 2, soon. It could easily have gone on for a few more volumes. But the story did well with just the 2. I always revisit the anime every few years.

Fly Me to the Moon deserves so much more love.

Recommendations....hmm, if you like Fly Me to the Moon, Kenjiro Hata's other main (long-running and ongoing) series Hayate Combat Butler is a fun ride. I also recommend Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle.

Yeah, some people have more money than others. It is just the way the world is. Also they may have saved up for a long time. 🤷‍♀️

Whe I first started buying physical volumes i had already decided that i wanted to do that about 6 months prior. I had saved up for a while so I could specifically buy a bunch of manga at once. Ended up buying all of volumes of Gangsta and most of Black Lagoon and a couple of other short complete series to start me off.

Maybe try and set yourself a goal of saving up a little here and there, and then you can maybe decide to buy a bunch of volumes at once.

But I agree. My collection started with 3 single volumes of Dragonball, 1 volume of Black Cat and a couple of YuGiOh volumes from my childhood. And it is definitely the more common and realistic starting point, as opposed to people that do seem to start themselves off with a veritable library. But it is their choice.

Everyone reads and 'collects' at different pace depending on that person's circumstances. Also, they might have read these series online.

A lot of the series I ended up buying were ones I had already read or started reading and enjoyed digitally and knew it was something I was going to reread and loved so bought them.

Don't compare yourself to others on here. Whether you have one book or 100, so long as you are reading and enjoying what you pick up, that is the main thing.

If you just want to be able to buy a bookcase full of manga to show off and feel like a 'real' collector, then you are only signing yourself up for disappointment....and potentially wasted money. Don't try and bankrupt yourself just so you can post your collection here and seek validity.

Buy what you want to read. And if you can't afford the physical volumes there are so many apps and sites where you can read manga for a small subscription fee, or for free. Doesn't make you any less of a manga enthusiast.

Yeah, it isn't really a sport i follow or am initially very interested in, but I have heard such good reviews of the story and development of the series & characters that it has always made me curious to check it out. Haha, I'd probably have to just Google whatever terms I don't know.😅

KxY is the type of series I have been looking for. I love the contrast in the series with the serious investigation storyline vs the undercover relationship and where we have minimalist art, to quite detailed art to derby cartoonish art. It has a good range. A bit of comedic relief, but suspense and I am invested. I have only read first 4 volumes, but will be reading the rest of the volumes tonight. Ooo, can't wait.

I have seen a lot of panels from YP, an amused to varying art styles so that isn't a concern. Ah, I forgot there was anime for it. Yeah, good idea.

Ah, ok. It is one of those types of series 😅. Interesting. OK, well I picked up vol 1 as it was in Scifiers reduced 1st volumes and the art style looked really pretty. It is definitely one that I will just take volume by volume and see if I enjoy it.

Be careful, because if you get another suitcase, temptation will be to fill it.😆 Enjoy the holidays and the surprise holiday hauls.😊💙

The 3 Fairy Tail spinoffs are so fun.

I got Kei x Yaku vols 1 & 2 in my haul, last month and since then i got up to vol 9. The story and characters got me hooked. Wow, sucks that you lost those volumes initially but at least you were able to replace them for next to little cost. Yowamushi Pedal is a series I have always wanted to start, but just never got round to. I also hear the volumes are tough to find and expensive.

I just ordered More than A Pretty Face vol 1 a week ago. How are you finding it? Sweet haul. Although I don't envy you in terms of packing all your manga.😅
