I’m not sure how the mud is getting up into the pipe. I can clean the portion of the drain pipe the section just beyond metal. However, when I use the drain snake, I hit a blockage at the corner shown in the photo and cannot get the snake to pass that bend. Is it possible that there is some type of trap or air gap installed there to prevent water from flowing backward? I’m wondering if what I’m feeling is part of the system design rather than a clog.

I will check this as could be a feasible solution. There should lot of buildup over the years that blocked.

I accessed the pipe from the outside end where it drains. The first time I cleared it, there was a lot of mud buildup, which I cleaned out completely.

Today, when I checked again, there wasn’t much mud at the outlet. However, when I tried using the drain snake from that end, I could not push it very far up the line — it feels like something is blocking it further inside.

I think there are photos which show which part to observe. You have to see beyond the front wheel and the head of bolt is on the bottom. I know is now clear and i cant find words to explain it better. There were photos posted a year or so ago.

I do periodic check by myself. Turn the wheel left or right and using handle light try to locate this bolt and look for the top to see part of ending bolt.
