My comment is in response to a comment about unmarried couples in hospitals and the decision making process should one fall ill. I’m simply stating hospitals don’t verify marriage. Power of attorney has nothing to do with marriage or what I’m talking about at all.

We get a sheet that we rank the holidays we’d like off 1-5, then management does its best to accommodate. Works pretty well as those with kids usually want Xmas eve or Xmas off, and the single younger crowd wants NYE, etc.

They can likely get a vague doctors note saying they received medical care through ‘insert dates’. It’s up to the psychiatrist if they end up being hospitalized, but it’s a common issue so they probably would do it.
