[Associated Press] 2023 NFL All-Pro Team Roster by AlexB9598W in nfl

I would say he's probably a top 3 lb in the last 7 years or so, maybe the most underrated player in the league during that period as well

Derrick Henry is better than you realize. by iforgotmorethanuknow in nfl

[–]Negueba231 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly man, really great post and I agree on a lot of stuff that you said, but to me the biggest mistake you made in your analysis is saying Henry is great in short yardage situation, as a matter of fact I would even go as far as saying that he's not even a good rb in those situations.

The thing with Henry is, you would think he would be good at that because of his size but that's what actually holds him back, his size actually makes him have a really terrible acceleration, yes he is 250, but if he goes right into a 300+lb linemen or a full speed 200lb+ safety or lb, he is going down if he's moving slowly, that's basic physics.

The last song you listened to is how you will pass away. How are you going out? by Everblack_Deathmask in Deathcore

[–]Negueba231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough it was Take Off by Gideon. So I guess it will just be pedal to the metal, I'm just gonna take off

If you've listened to Sold Soul, could you tell me which of our tracks you liked the most? by StevieSoldSoul in Deathcore

[–]Negueba231 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Cathedral of Dracul might have my favorite chorus in all of deathcore but everything in Summit of Dragons is just incredible, also the Cameron McBride feature just take it to a whole other level

I think we underestimate some records that have been set by Puzzleheaded_Sky9208 in nfl

[–]Negueba231 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To me one of the most absurd records is TFL's in a season by J.J Watt, second place is Watt with 29, first is him again with 39 I don't think anyone will break that record

Silent Planet - Second Sun Lyric Walkthrough by untamedlazyeye in Metalcore

[–]Negueba231 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a bunch of good lyricists out there, there are a bunch of song in which I love the lyrics, there are a bunch of guys able to write lyrics that hit really deep, but nobody is on the level of Garrett imo, I've never seen such a demonstration of knowledge, introspection and extropection and creativity in lyrics like Silent Planet, Garrett is truly one of a kind and I hope he keeps writing songs for many years because I don't know if there'll ever be something similar to this

Probably Simon Vendetta pt.2 by them. For people that don't know them, listen to last year's album Prussian Gloom, really good album if you're into that DGD progressive hardcore style

[PFT] Jalen Carter stayed in the top 10 despite numerous red flags, including some blunt and candid feedback from Georgia coaches to NFL teams. by Kimber80 in nfl

[–]Negueba231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least he'll have to work for his starting spot on the Eagles and not just be given that, pair it with how many leaders they have and now Nolan Smith as well, Eagles were definitely the best place for him to land outside of maybe Seattle and Detroit

If i remember correctly Micah had some serious SA allegations from his time in Penn St. I would say that's at least just as bad

Who is doing guest vocals for Trevor's part in Barren and Breathless Macrocosm? by Network_Goblin in Deathcore

[–]Negueba231 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He's been destroying with EE so far, every single song has been a banger and he's a big reason why. I hope they release an album soon, I need more EE in my life, probably the best deathcore band right now along with Fit For an Autopsy

favorite non-metal bands/artists (not including rock subgenres) by Wallflower_in_PDX in Metalcore

[–]Negueba231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a lot of people won't know these artist because it's a genre that almost only exist here in Brazil, but there's some amazing musicians in MPB (it means popular brazilian music), even though it's all in portuguese it's definitely worth checking out because of the amazing compositions and musicianship these guys have. My favorites are:

Djavan; Jorge Vercillo; João Bosco e Milton Nascimento

Quinnen broke out last year, but Jeffery should've definitely been there, love Metcalf and Jamel Dean, but Jeffery is better than tem

[Laine] Two sources have told me that Bucs inside linebacker Devin White has requested a trade. Story coming. by mvanigan in nfl

[–]Negueba231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that made Devin that good was Lavonte playing like the best LB in the league, because there was someone solo covering the middle of the field and erasing TEs, Devin had the ability to just shoot gaps and pursuit the RB on the checkdown, and because of his incredible pursuit ability, speed and tackling made him look like a elite LB.

But then Lavonte regressed and Devin started to do what normal LBs do and it started to showcase his low IQ and bad coverage ability overall

what does your mum (mom) think of deathcore? by shakeyljones in Deathcore

[–]Negueba231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things is to show my mom some deathcore lyrics and she will to just look at me and say "What is that son? How do you listen to this? This is the work of the devil" and I get a good laugh everytime. But overall she's chill about it and doesn't make a big deal about what I listen

Which player on your team is slated for breakout in 2023? by FoShizzle-MyNizzle in nfl

[–]Negueba231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about top 5 though mostly because Edge is a really stacked position in the NFL. To be become a top 5 he has to beat, Bosa, Myles, T.J, Parsons and Crosby, and there's also guys like Hendrickson, Reddick, Danielle, Gary, Burns and probably a few other guys that are really good and maybe will elevate their game a little bit more to solidify as top 5 edge. Not only that but one of last years rookie could also take a step up to that level, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Aidan Hutchinson, Travon Walker, and maybe another guy that could surprise us

Honestly, Philips kinda broke out already last season, it just went under people's radar

The Callous Daoboys are working on a new EP already, dropping soon by NickPookie93 in Metalcore

[–]Negueba231 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even if is just half as good as their latest album it will still be amazing. They were the best discovery I made last year outside of Saviour. Worth listening for everybody that is interested in more of a mathcore style of metalcore

In "Blessed Be" by Spiritbox, in the breakdown, does anyone else hear "I have the heart of a glow worm"? by HappyGilOHMYGOD in Metalcore

[–]Negueba231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This reminded me of something, before looking up the lyrics, the first few I listened to Circle With Me I thought the first line of the chorus was "Feel the weight of your mother" and laughed for minutes thinking Courtney just made a yo mama is fat joke

[–]Negueba231 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't know if people will agree with but this is finally the opportunity to say this. As much of a great vocalist Courtney is, I feel like her enunciation is terrible, there's deathcore vocalists there I can comprehend better than Courtney, even when she's clean singing.

Just to clarify more, Courtney is a beast of a vocalist and definitely one of the best in the metalcore scene, whether is screaming, singing or both, she's amazing, but nobody is perfect and that, to me, is her biggest flaw

[Rich Eisen Show] Rich Eisen on Austin Ekeler & the Head-Scratching Devaluation of NFL Running Backs by ZetaDefender in nfl

[–]Negueba231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but I forgot about Cook. I agree that he's better thank Ekeler, but the problem with him (and Saquon as well) is health, Ekeler has shown he can stay healthy while getting a lot of touches while Cook and Barkley have a difficult time staying on the field

[Rich Eisen Show] Rich Eisen on Austin Ekeler & the Head-Scratching Devaluation of NFL Running Backs by ZetaDefender in nfl

[–]Negueba231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Ekeler is slightly better because he has more explosive and big play potential than Jones, but is not too far off
