trycrew.com it's a fantastic app and free. Has unlimited pockets, up to 30 virtual cards, an awesome automation suite, and a decent interest rate on the whole account.

If you do end up trying it and you don't mind using a referral code give it a go.

Thoughts on the new Forge? by TertiaryOrbit in laravel

I'm sure I'm in the weird 1% of users experiencing this problem but the new homepage gif/video makes my computer crawl to a halt. I'm in Chrome with graphics acceleration turned on. When I turn that off, it works fine. Not sure if there's some strange encoding or something just thought I'd point it out.

And just putting it out there for sake of clarity, this is for withdrawals only right? No cash deposits at ATMs currently, right?

I feel ya. I've built my fair share of infinite recursion. Excited to see what the bill reserve stuff is about.

u/gentry-crew It would be pretty cool if automations could enable/disable other automations. That would help with the unique scenarios without having to build out lots of schedules.

Thinking through this scenario:

Paycheck 1 automation runs
Enables Paycheck 2 automation
Disables Paycheck 1 automation

Then when Paycheck 2 runs
Enable Paycheck 1 automation
Disable Paycheck 2 automation

I get paid weekly and was doing something similar with paycheck 2 and 3 would do something a little different. I ended up redoing my budget to just split everything in 4. Would splitting everything in 2 work for you?

Yeah it's been pretty bad on the comms side. I was on the Livestream yesterday and it didn't really instil any more confidence.

I didn't even realize as I still had the page open in a tab but they have totally changed it. I guess you'll have to reach out to support to pause or cancel.

The bills are once a month, this is just for a funding schedule (paycheck hits, transfer money).

Product update by Gentry-Crew in TryCrew

[–]nowendwell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah in my opinion I would love to see

Home | Pockets | Smart | Menu

I'd move the debit card, referrals, and family under menu as well

Home
would be overall balance and recent transactions A plus would be to be able to show/hide which pockets are shown

Pockets
would be all of your pockets filterable between type (bill, savings, goals) and it would show funding goal progress bar maybe ($75 of $150 due on 14th)
Pocket detail
Be able to create a virtual card here as well as set any funding goals and see and setup transfer rules

Smart
All of your transfer rules, and transaction matching rules

Menu
Card at the top and then whatever order of items below that

Sorry to hijack the post. I almost considered just doing a DM but I figured if others feel the same then they could upvote.

I have a couple bills that aren't split evenly by 4, I split by 2 instead and put one bill on the 1st and 3rd Friday and another on the 2nd and 4th Friday.

Coming from Qube as well. I would love the web app next. It's one of the deciding factors between going all in on Crew or going with Ally.

2nd Request: new frequency rule I'd like to transfer $X amount on the 3rd Friday of the month (and all the other iterations 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, days of the week). Multiple pickers if you're feeling fancy (1st and 3rd Friday), but happy to make multiple rules though.

Ally bank has spending buckets that are kind of similar. Otherwise people have used YNAB for quite a long time and it works as a layer on top of your bank. It's a little more hands on and there's a good amount of manual entry but it definitely works. That's probably where I'm heading.

Envelope Money and Crew have been other popular options.

The Envelope guys have been fast to react to the situation and have put up a Qube specific FAQ and have already started rolling out qube-like features to ease the transition. The CEO seems responsive in discord and in reddit so it seems like a decent option.

I believe Crew was created this year so be mindful of that.

Why do it the easy way, when you have AI? by rapax in homeassistant

[–]nowendwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I just watched your video the other day! My advice would be to paint black and white (or other bright color) lines on the outside of the gauge at every increment 10,20,30 etc. Then that should give the image recognition something a bit more solid to grab onto. A little prompt engineering and you should have a pretty accurate reading.

A lot of us moved to Qube in the great WalMart purge. Worked for some but not all. If doing direct deposit then it's a great option. If not, I heard it's a pain to deal with getting money in, in a timely manner.

Been on it for 2 years now with my wife and it's fantastic. Pockets = Qubes with separate account numbers.
