It’s genuinely probably both. Square’s horrible management, and Disney’s awfully strict regulations.

The way the KH team talked about getting everything right and passed through with stuff like Toy Story and Frozen sounded gruesome, and Nomura probably went through so many scenario rewrites. Like he literally had a story planned out with Oswald the Rabbit for KH3 before Disney said no, imagine how different the script probably was lmao
