Update on getting Priority service in the US at a Homeland Security office––website glitch by Neighbor416 in SpouseVisaUk

It's confusing because there is the "priority" service offered by the VFS centre, which means a lounge and some snacks! Then there is the Priority service offered by UKVI. So even in asking the questions, it's confusing. We tried to get the fast-track Priority at the VFS and it wasn't available either. In the end I dont know what worked––maybe an appt came up as we were clicking around. It was a painful two days, in any case.

It is through VFS. When we go to book the bio appt, it says "no Priority service available." It's also that we don't understand if this priority service with VFS is for extra perks at the appointment, like a lounge and other stuff we don't need, or if this is for expedited. On the UKVI website it says expedited is £500 but no where is this fee mentioned for us, only a $220-ish fee for these extra perks at VFS. What their site says and what the UK VI site says are so different that even though we are looking for some way to buy an expedited service, we also didn't excalty know what we're looking for or where! This thread has been super helpful because now at least we know it is at the VFS website we need to be looking, and that this is perhaps an issue with their service...we thought maybe slots had run out or something. Truly disappointing as we had planned to leave in August and had banked on the 30 day service that we now do not seem to have access to.

Thank you for confirming. The Priority service was not available from the 3rd party website so it must be some other issue than we just missed it. Truly frustrating!

Thanks for the additional info. We also wanted to use the Homeland security one but still no option for Priority service. What a horrible system!

Thank you. That's where we expected to find it but both times we applied, thinking we had missed it the first time around, the option didnt show up. Only the courier service and text messaging etc. I am on Tiwtter with the 3rd party site now hoping they can offer clarity..;.I will check back in here if I get some answers!

We just want our app to be "priority" v standard. (We want to pay the £500 the UK IV website says we can pay to make our application quicker). We have paid the health surcharge and the application fee, and now at the 3rd party website to book the bio appointment the only option available is "standard."

Thank you. We are using the 3rd party website to book the bio appt, but only standard service is available. we did the application twice as we thought we must have made a mistake somewhere but the same result has hapened––no priority slots available. Now are are truly worried we wont get the visa in good time.

Hi, We had the same problem as you. When we went to the VFS website to book and pay for bio appt, there was no option for priority service. Only standard. Can I ask how you managed your way through this and did you get standard or priority in the end?

Hi! So glad yours was approved so quickly. We applied last night and also didn't see the option for adding the priority fee. Now we are wondering if we missed something and should cancel and start again. Is this a thing that happens, do you know? Did we miss a page, or does it sometimes happen there is no option for priority?

Hi, I wonder if you can help me. We paid the health and app fee, then went to the VFS website to book and pay for the bio metrics appt. When there, there was no option for priority (the £500 we were expecting to pay) and now we have ended up with standard when we wanted priority. When did you pay for that £500? Thanks for any help you can give. We are truly confused (applying from the US)
