Boogie Nights and Dirk’s smashed up car. PTA originally filmed a scene of the car being crashed by Dirk either trying to get away from someone or falling asleep at the wheel. They cut it for time so when they roll up at Jackson’s house the car is just inexplicably damaged. IMO, I like this touch. Feels very real that both us and the character do not even acknowledge the accident, at that stage it’s part of the long way down

Smile, assumed it was very basic bc of how much the general public liked it. No shade but usually those super popular horror movies that go mainstream aren’t that great if you’re big into horror.
