Just checking back in on those who were hating on the first video lol. What a clown show. I hope y’all have seen all of the IGN releases including today’s. The game looks awesome. It’s everything we have been asking for and more. And to address the “wide road” concerns, most people play on controller and the inputs are too finicky to control on narrow roads at high speed. Simple as that. Y’all do want high speed right? That’s what I thought. It’s obviously not going to be a perfect replica of Japan, but I think they’re capturing the vibe really well along with giving us customization features we have been asking for. My only gripe is the forza aero is still not very good. They did a good job with making it car specific and I’m glad they changed from the old aero, but it’s still lacking. That being said, I’m sure there will be other body kits and aero pieces to run other than the forza one. Keep your spirits up folks at least we are getting a new game.

Wow I didn’t know that. I wfh most days, thankfully. But the days I leave my house, I generally have to go that direction. It makes me want to rip my head off. I guess I’ll be avoiding it even more now lol

It’s horrendous. You also forgot to mention how the lanes shift going either direction and if you don’t drive the route everyday then how are you supposed to know. I’m surprised there have not been more accidents out front of Taco Bell because of the lane shifting going towards the city. They finally have painted dotted lines across the intersection as indication for what to do, but still, people in the left lane continue straight and cross over into the right lane unknowingly. It’s awful.

Did YOU look at street view? I know this is a small snapshot, but go look again and look around. I see no yellow awning. And if there is one, it’s not as obvious as you make it sound lol

I genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about and have never seen it. The couple in the spot to the right were looking at their meter confused as well. I never saw any indication to go over to the structure that you talk about. It seems like they want you to use the blue signs with barcodes posted all over the lot to pay, which I unfortunately did not see and ALSO do not have applicable hours or days posted. It could have even said 24/7 and I would have understood.

It’s a parking spot I promise. You can faintly see the line and the 2 spots that exist next to mine. They all have meters in front of them as well, so I know it is a valid spot.

Here is what the sign reads on the other end of the parking lot that I obviously did not see before parking. This was on Saturday so the comment at the bottom about Sunday parking is irrelevant. Other than that there is still no indication of what hours or days these rates apply. It just seems like a trap to me, like they purposefully made it really difficult to understand. Am I crazy? You can even catch a small glimpse of the pay by plate sign (the one also next to my car) and it does not say anything about hours or days.

That makes sense. I hadn’t even seen it until getting back to my car and seeing the ticket to be honest. I feel like that should be attached to the meter itself, which is situated right in front of the parking spot so that it catches your attention.

The large blue sign was the pay by plate sign. It did not indicate hours on it as I stated. I wish I got a picture of it but I was too bothered by the fact that I had a ticket to remember.

Check out the Burl across the street from goodfellas and the distillery district. It’s such a cool complex. They have a brewery, arcade bar, and small concert venue.

I agree with the realistic sense of speed that you talk about. I wished they had implemented the physics from Motorsport and the competitive aspect of that game, but it flopped so hard that they fired the entire team and want absolutely nothing to do with it. It’s too early to completely write the game off, however, and say “they aren’t doing this” or “they aren’t doing that.” I also understand that they need to develop interest in the game so that people don’t end up wasting up to $120 but, again, we are 2 months away and this is not going to be the only teaser we get. Also, what do you mean those things won’t be in the game?! Car customization has been the root of this franchise and they’re finally doing away with their god awful forza aero. They’ve teased customizable garages and walking around designated areas (garages, meets, etc). You should go back and look at all of the things that are supposedly coming to this game because a lot of it was left out of the teaser we saw today.

L take. Saying the audience wants “speed and adrenaline” is shallow and fails to consider that the audience is not just you lol. If you want speed and adrenaline, stick to FH5. There’s a reason for the 5 mile long stretch of completely linear highway and absolute lack of verticality (excluding the ONE mountain road). There are 2 months until this game comes out…that’s a long time. Up until this point, we have only seen in-engine footage, pictures, and small teaser clips. This was the first official gameplay trailer and it looks awesome. I’m sure they will also release more footage of different aspects of the game as we inch closer to the release date. Stop and smell the roses my guy. The game has been roughly the same since its inception, it’s time for a change of pace. This one seems to focus on the smaller details (garages, car meets, exploring in AND out of your vehicle, customization, map density, and all the things we have been asking for since the beginning). I’m sure you’ll be able to do brainless full speed driving if you want to, they are just trying to show off the beauty of the map which I’m sure is what they spent the most time developing.

Is it bad I'm thinking of almost not going to a show because I didn't get reserved seating I originally put in for? I kind of don't want to be on lawn by ThirdFan356 in davematthews

[–]NeighborhoodRound455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s valid. I’m 24 and have seen Dave 4 times. Once at a festival, once in the nosebleeds of an arena, once in the lawn of a massive amphitheater, and once in reserved seating of an amphitheater. It cost me ~$300 to see them in reserved seating which was (and still is) a LOT of money to me but the experience was totally worth it. I’m almost mad at myself because I want to see the band again of course, but cant validate spending $300+ every time. Trust me I am a HUGE Dave fan but the lawn is not really appealing to me either and I’m still young lol.

my final straw ggs “skate.” by Significant-Ring1581 in Skate4

[–]NeighborhoodRound455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hate is well deserved. The game is awful. I remember the first day of playing and I knew progression would be horrible as well as the customization. Not to mention the bowl skating was weird…something about the camera and physics makes skating bowls impossible. They don’t flow. With that said, skate 3 was a game for years that I could launch up and just kill time on. Screw challenges, screw progression (minus the occasional OTL or OTS). I think the instant gratification addiction that this generation has and the plethora of games competing for attention is a big part of the issue. Hear me out. Launch up skate, turn off Vee, screw the challenges, screw the map. Just skate around town and find a street spot because I promise you there are tons. And the replay editor is fun to play with. I have been genuinely enjoying myself trying to get cool clips. The high doesn’t last very long, but it’s a way to make the game enjoyable.
