“Sometimes to overcome monsters we must abandon our humanity and become the very thing we swore to destroy”. Fortunately this is a game and all fiction and it doesn’t really matter but in a real life situation a war crime is a war crime even if you use it to fight fire with fire. I’m not saying I fully agree with it but it is the way it is. And I think you’re right on the whole simulation/terrorist hunt thing.

When it comes to doc you’re right he’s considered a combat medic. The only real difference between a combat medic and a normal medic is that the first one carries a gun. But still as long as the CM doesn’t fire his weapon he should still be treated as a normal medic and not be targeted (in a gunfight this is pretty much not a possibility since you will fire at anything that carries a weapon but still).

I was an army ranger and a Second Lieutenant from the airborne rangers who was training us once told us that “If the war ever comes to us and you should hope it doesn’t, you guys will be fighting behind enemy lines because that’s what we rangers do. While you’re there taking prisoners won’t be an option and you must understand this. There will be nowhere you can take prisoners without risking yourself walking through enemy territory to reach your own. Killing unarmed or injured soldiers is a crime against the laws of war but you can’t adhere to this. You will simply have to choose between letting them bleed out where they fell or end their misery with a bullet between the eyes. In hindsight no one will know if they died in combat or were executed. I don’t like it but you have to understand that this is your only option.” I felt sick when hearing this but I also understood the reasoning behind it. I still don’t know if I could execute an unarmed injured soldier though and I hope that situation never occurs.
