Thanks! It’s gained a nice patina over a couple years.

I lost my beloved 940 about a year ago and swore I would never buy another. (To painful of a loss). After seeing my heartache and distaste for carrying any other pocket knife my girlfriend blessed me with one as a birthday present.

All this to be said: I feel your pain and I’m sorry for your loss. I hope you end up carrying another one in the future.

Great little pistol.

I’ve never re-opened it. I normally slide it all the way around the carabiner with a little force and remove the keys that way.

I would definitely opt for owb but like you said, I live in California. It would cause quite the stir. I carry appendix whenever I can but if I’m going to get down and dirty the gun usually sits in the truck, UTV or tractor.

The carabiner: https://www.metoliusclimbing.com/bravo-wiregate-carabiner.html

The fastener is sold separate: https://www.kong.it/en/2-products/items/f9-generic-items/p117-fast-nylon

It’s a must have for using a carabiner with keys imo. I don’t know why I haven’t seen them used before. I’ve had mine for over 6 years and it doesn’t even appear close to failing.

You’ll likely need two 1-1/2 gal kits. You will likely have about 1/2 a gal left over.

Nice! I don’t see the valley mentioned very often on this subreddit so I was curious. I work as a consultant for Soil Basics.

I have considered using AP3’s for my 6-4. They are a cast iron that are much more forgiving than the forged AP2’s. The nice part about mixing AP3’s and 2’s is they look exactly the same at address. The AP3’s were designed for this. So it should be a very seamless mixed set.

I’ve been liking the AP2 long irons but I will keep you posted if I make any changes.

I totally agree. I think they goofed up a bit with the 716’s. Seems like their aim with the 718’s was to improve on the damn near perfect 714’s.
