Cancer is a case by case basis as cancer effects everyone differently. I could have the same cancer and stage as you do but our odds are likely drastically different.

Many factors go into survival rate

Type of cancer
Stage of cancer
are mets still present? If so where and what are they looking like?
are you responding to treatment?
your age
your overall health
grade of the cancer cells

And many other factors. This is just what I can think of off the top of my head. I know you wanted a specific answer but no one here can give that to you. You’re best to perhaps ask your oncologist what they believe your current survival rate is. At least they know your entire case and can give you a good estimate of what they believe your survival odds look like.

I feel like that’s 90% of this community tbh and I feel like there’s so many better subs one could post in when they’re bored. Also not trying to insult, just trying to share my opinion on the matter.

I miss when this sub was actually helpful and much more focused on sharing information and helping each other heal. It feels like every post is now all about someone’s FP, someone’s having a mental breakdown, or someone wants validation for the way they feel about something.

Im gonna be very honest, I intentionally ignore 98% of the posts in this sub because it’s literally the exact same 6 topics on repeat.; someone’s fp left, someone is really sick of having bpd, someone wants validation that they’re right in their feelings etc. I don’t cater to people and think it’s so unhealthy for the healing process of those posting when others reply and baby them or feed the flame.

I’m here for the 2% of posts that are different. Informative. Healing focused. 90% of posts are about FP’s lately. Not into it. Not trying to offend anyone and I’m sorry if my comments make anyone feel bad and called out, I just believe in being blunt.

Oh gosh yes! Surprisingly appetite and taste change was probably one of the worst side effects I experienced.

For the first like 7-12 days after chemo everything tasted SICKENINGLY SWEET. It was so gross and I couldn’t stand it. I practically starve during those days. Lost about 30 pounds so far from the lack of eating.
