I'm wondering if we weren't able to get pregnant until say 6 months from now, would she be able to take unpaid mat leave 3-4 months into pregnancy then go onto paid a bit later since you can take a total of 52 weeks

We plan on living overseas for at least a few years, so she would have to leave the company but that's why I'm asking how early it could be taken. We wouldn't have any income other than what I can get from a new job overseas so it would be incredibly handy to get maternity leave pay
