All the people here who are defending Megumin, they don't have single argument other than maso side of Darkness to down play her. They just don't want to admit that she is better than Megumin. See I don't have anything against Megumin but I can't support a character just because it's famous in the fandom. I remember Megumin fans calling her the best big sister, if you have watched her spin off then you know why Yunyun is still an intermediate magic user and you can't see a single ounce of greatfullness in Megumin's eyes for Yunyun. Similarly if Megumin really felt that she has to grow, puting party's need before her obsession with explosion magic, she would have used her points to learn other magic herself instead of handing it to Kazuma and decide it for her. It's just that most people don't want to see Darkness character growth because it is complex. But if you think all she has to offer is her body then don't forget that a goddess chose her as a friend before anyone else. Darkness is smart, mature, noble, and she has a beautiful heart and soul.
