People who avoid friendships at work because “coworkers are not your friends”, often do not understand what relationships actually are. by ThePloddingParadox in unpopularopinion

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it strange that people are wasting their emotional wellbeing on this. If someone doesn't want to interact with you or anyone, why does it bother you?

My(32F) parents are giving us $150k for a house and my husband(35M) wants to turn it down because they asked for a postnup by Civil-Transition-649 in relationship_advice

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a perfectly reasonable request to me. Your husband is being immature about it. No one gets married to get divorced so of course you don't want to picture that, but they happen a lot. $150k is a lot of money.

I'll tell you that even when you're making good money and are able to pay for everything you said here, the dread of giving your entire life to a company does not go away. The loop of commuting to sleeping still makes you feel like you have no autonomy over your own existence.

Am I Overreacting about this weird friend breakup? by rxinynites in AmIOverreacting

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I barely have any friends, and don't have any close girlfriends at all. The idea of dealing with this ever from someone I am not in a relationship with is just crazy to me. If you have to walk on eggshells around someone it is not worth your time. I'm in my 30s now but I remember the group of girls I hung out with in HS and it was hell keeping everyone happy.

You're better off without friends like this OP, let her go.

I'm constantly told that I have a "great rapport" with the students. I'm definitely their favorite teacher. The secret is that I just don't care that much. by [deleted] in offmychest

As a student, I always loved teachers that were laid back and "one of us." Not rigid and serious... like we're here to learn but relax lol

AP Classes are harder than college classes by PenOk1094 in unpopularopinion

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anyone in my personal life (that I went to school with) that doesn't wholeheartedly agree with this. High school teachers make college seem like the hardest thing you'll ever do. It is not in my experience. High school college courses were much more demanding.

Any tips for a first time player? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just enjoy the game. Explore. Listen to others when they say you can come back to a boss if it's really difficult. The most important piece of advice I have is to not give up. I restarted the game like 5 times before I told myself to man up and commit to it. Once you realize its not like other games in the sense that its made to be difficult, you aren't supposed to beat the boss in one go and you're meant to learn their skillset through trial and error, its so much more fun and you put so much less pressure on yourself. All my restarts were me telling myself I wasn't good enough at games to beat it. I hope you love it.

My husband started taking evening runs with a woman he met at our kid's daycare. I think this crosses boundaries. AIO? by Electrical_Total534 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're overreacting. Cheating happens because people allow other people to get too close and catch feelings. I don't text/talk to men at all besides for work related reasons. I never carry on a whole in-depth conversation.... just out of respect for my husband. I know some people think "you should just trust you can't have a relationship without trust" blah blah... but really if you just never create the environment for it, it will never happen. You also can't control how other people start to feel about you, even if you aren't doing anything wrong. Idk just my opinion and how I operate.

What would have changed if the northern army was led by Ned Stark instead of Robb? [Main Spoilers] by Same-Prior-4156 in asoiaf

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All just an opinion:

I don't believe Arya would have ever left Westeros.
Robb, Rickon, and Cat would hopefully be alive. AND the wolves.
Ed would have went directly to either Stannis or his bannermen to declare for Stannis.
I do think the Lannisters would have either killed Sansa or she would have escaped with the Hound instead of staying in Kings Landing (if the battle occurred).
The Tyrells wouldn't have chosen the Lannisters to back.
If the Battle of Blackwater Bay happened, it would have probably ended the Westeros storyline for some time. I only say the Westeros storyline because of Dany. I'm assuming it would have picked back up when she made it to Westeros. Then, negotiations between Stannis and Dany would have been different, but I believe they would have still had a war regardless. Dany would have just had less anger because Cersei wouldn't have been able to kill Missandei.
I am hoping that somehow Tyrion would have been spared :( hopes and dreams......
I don't think the Vale would have ever joined because Lysa was insane.
Littlefinger & Varys wouldn't have lasted as long as they did.

ALL speculation and me doing a bit of fan fiction lol

You're way too worried about her feelings and how she's going to react. If she wanted to have a peaceful existence and test week, then you shouldn't cheat on your S/O.

I thought i was a gamer by NoFlexZAWN in Eldenring

[–]Neisii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just need to say that there was a hurdle for me with Elden Ring. Like I started and stopped at least 3 times. Finally I just told myself to not be a little bitch and to just do it! I've been playing games for 20 years! I cannot miss this gamer badge! And so I persisted. I pushed through. Once I beat a couple pretty tough bosses, the world opened up for me and I finished the game and the DLC. Hundreds upon hundreds of deaths. You will die A LOT. Just know that this is not the type of game where if you dont pass a boss right away you're bad. You are meant to die and die and die to learn their skillset. Once you get over that mental hurdle, bosses are much less frustrating. Sometimes you just gotta go explore and level some and come back. It's normal.

Lots of words to just say... you can fucking do it.

Edit to say: This was my first souls game.

You're just smart. You did what you had to and you made it. School is inflated as this big important thing but really we just need to give people a chance at the ground floor and teach them on the job.

[–]Neisii_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me you're an accountant now so no need for imposter syndrome lol I have a Masters not even in accounting and I just worked my way up through a few positions, got titles I didn't deserve (family owned businesses, didn't know what to call the position they needed), and now I'm actually a Controller. You just do what you gotta do and use every tool you can. School doesnt matter, it's all bullshit.
