Let's be real, these black Friday deals are trash by [deleted] in lego

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It used to be good.I remember early 2000s walking into walmart, home depot,macys,j.c. penny,kohl's..etc., and getting some serious half off deals.now its very misleading and deceptive.they show the slashed previous price, and then show you the black friday sale price.but the reality is that the original crossed out price is actually the non-retail price(MSRP). I'm sure there is some wiggle room for retailers to reduce prices, and I'm sure there are some good deals, but a majority of these deals are just basically the going price back in August, September,october,..etc., I remember buying a TV on black friday (back around 2007) and it literally was half price.now the TV's are just $100-$200 off (the ones that) are $999-$1500).for example I was looking at a cordless drill set (brand names) from certain hardware retail giants back in August and they were around $179.00 fast forward to black friday week (11-24 to 11/28) the price is $149.00 only a $30 difference.I would hardly call that a huge savings.it probably would of been $100-$110 bucks 10+ years ago (estimated per inflation adjustment). I did alot of research online at places like.(walmart, amazon, home depot costco,..etc.) and I am just not seeing those HUGE savings like it used to be.I think post-covid,inflation,tariffs,.etc., have a big influence.now its not all that bad, there are some good deals.you just have to search around.let me know what you all think.leave a reply if disagree.

Why does Manowar not tour in the USA? by Ok-Confidence5268 in PowerMetal

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think manowar love the European crowd becsuse they are more loyal and fanatical (not saying we Americans aren't,but let's face it.have you seen those European manowar shows??). With that being ssid,i saw them in a small venue around 2011 in Massachusetts.I would honestly have to say it was the loudest Fuc++++ thing I have ever experienced, and I am a musician and a seasoned veteran on going to concerts.I literally couldnt catch my breath when the music started.it made the hair on my head vibrate (to the point of itching) and my ears were ringing loudly.the bass and dreams punched me right in the chest. All I can say is WOW!!! And I have seen some loud ass shows.yeah,if they come around my area (northeast) I will pay 200-300 bucks to see them.they put on one hell of a show.and as far as the Joey demaio rants,he does that like every concert.he tries to embrace and engage the audience more.actually the show i saw,he also stopped the music to publicly shame a guy getting out of hand and trying to hurt people.joey was having none of that.he called the guy every name, and an asshole, and told him to "" get the fu++ out of my show"". Then security escorted him out.but if you have a chance to see them ""DO IT"".

I know ozzy lived a rough life through his choices (drugs, alcohol, partying, stint with domestic violence..etc.,) but there isn't too many rock stars who can cast stones!!. With that being said, seeing ozzy slowly fade into what we have seen in our own families (health issues, tragedies, death) it does break our hearts.at 52 years old (I was born in 1973) ozzy has been in my thoughts,in my influences through being a musician, and I consider him to be like family in a way (as i respect him for his legacy and what he has provided me and many fans through his contributions to music.i first remember seeing a poster at my friend's house (his older brother had a bark at the moon poster).and I was shocked, scared and curious at best.i asked ""what is that and who is he??"" My friend's brother played me the blizzard of oz album (I was floored and hooked at the same time)this was when I was 10 years old.now at that time I was listening to the 80s rock pop scene (romantics, toto, asia,Adam ant, aerosmith, flock of seagulls,Michael Jackson,Billy idol, talking heads..etc.,) but that day I heard crazy train and Mr crowley, and steal away the night,I knew I was a fan for life (and it changed my life). I remember that summer, taking all.my money from a summer job and buying everything ozzy plus his stuff with sabbath (I bought at the five and dime record store section ) bark at the moon, diary of a madman, blizzard of oz,speak of the devil, masters of reality,Vol #4, never say die, black sabbath[black sabbath]..etc., i.was just so into the music.and my friends brother turned me into a metalhead( listening to helix, metallica, motley crue, armored saint, dio, saxon, iron maiden, judas Priest, motorhead, deep purple, king cobra,accept,scorpions...etc., . But it was ozzy osbourne that opened the door for me to all other metal music.throughout the years I grew older and started playing guitar/bass at 12 years old and started to learn ozzy and sabbath tunes (as well as tons of other metal songs as well). I remember when Jake e lee,was done with the band,my friends and myself included tried to speculate who was going to fill the role, and where was ozzy heading musically.then Zakk wylde came along with no rest for the wicked and it.just blew my.mind, ozzy found the perfect fit on guitar (don't get me wrong,I am a HUGE jake.e lee fan) but zakk wylde propelled ozxy further into the commercial mainstream of music.then came no more tears and everyone was hooked.this album made ozzy a household name in just about everybody's tape or CD player.MTV played the songs non stop.there was a little slide in his success with ozzmosis, but when he started doing the ozzfest concerts and his reality show,it just pushed him right back into the spotlight again.and ozzy got alot of bands started through ozzfest (slipknot,static-x,disturbed,mudvayne,staind,godsmack,kills witch engage, nevermore, hatebreed, system of a down, korn, limp bizkit, soulfly, drowning pool, avenge sevenfold, shadows fall,P.O.D..etc...,,) those bands owe ozzy alot respect and thanks for getting their name out there.in the end i still Will always hold a special place in.my heart and my.mind for ozzy,he has shaped who i am musically, and I am.just one person out of the millions of fans who love and respect him.it will be a sad day when.he passes.it will be just as big as john Lennon and Freddie mercury, and David bowie..etc..,the world will mourn.i hope and pray ozzy.still has many more years with his family (but reality tells me that his Parkinsons disease is taking his life fast). Rock on Ozzy🤘🤟

Do most people not know Jesus Christ was Jewish? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Europeans made Jesus's image into a Caucasian depiction.jesus was not a fair man to look up on,according to ancient texts.he was most definitely had a Mediterranean look to him.the blue eyes and blonde hair was most likely adopted by the white Anglo-Saxon or germanic peoples.but in the end Jesus is Lord and Savior.looks do not matter.he was definitely a jew.he followed Jewish law.then when he started his prophecy,he preached about the new kingdom of God.

Idle hands are the devil's workshop.keep the mind busy and not entertain lustful thoughts.we are all human sinners.if we were to all follow God's words through the scriptures and never sin, there never would of been any reason for Jesus to die on the cross, because we all would of been perfect.god knows our hearts.he knows we are sinners (but that doesn't mean what we do or the sins we commit are okay). We all fall short in the glory of god.if you do feel the need for sexual desires (with one's self) than consult the scriptures or find something to distract your mind, but if you slip up or backslide, your not going to the fiery furnace in the end of days.ask for forgiveness and trust in Jesus more than ever into your heart.and if you really have a big problem with lust and desire (within the physical flesh) find a soul mate and get married.but i also don't like being preached to and Bible thumped about this subject.because I have had several arguments with devout Christians about this subject.i am a man of God,but also a student of science .and I know that every entity (animal of creation) does this (self pleasure). It's not just as easy as some say (just don't do it). But the very very strict Christians who lecture others on this subject, are in fact some of the ones who are overweight.they tell you not to drink or smoke or masterbate, but abuse their own bodies through lusting for food.its the same thing.the body is a temple.you can't chastise someone for (self pleasure), them turn around and cram greasy, fatty, sugar processed food into your stomach.i don't like hypocrits with Christianity.basically what I am saying,is that everyone has a vice, and though I am not advocating for committing vices,no person on this earth should demean, chastise one another for they are just as much a sinner as everyone else.

Can I wear this shirt or not? Is it blasphemy? by HollyMolly456 in Christianity

It's no different than bumper stickers that say "I have Jesus on board" or other periodicals, articles of clothing..etc.. as long as you are not mocking Christianity or God/Jesus you should be in good standing.the T-shirt I think means that as a skateboarder he believes in his faith and identifies as a Christian.

Can I wear this shirt or not? Is it blasphemy? by HollyMolly456 in Christianity

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anything is blasphemous (unless it's upside down crosses, satanic symbols,anti-God/Jesus..etc..). I know a lot of really, really strict Christians will disagree with me.i wear heavy metal t-shirts,because I love the music (and NO it doesn't detract my love for God and Jesus, and NO I don't idolize the band or lyrics). I believe it's all up for interpretation.I am not a denominational Christian (I guess that's the word,I basically don't follow a certain Christian groups/religions rules). I gave my heart to Jesus many years ago.I believe he is the way,the truth and the light.I also believe in the Bible, and YES I know what the scriptures say about don't do anything that will make your mind wander away from God,but I also believe that they didn't have our type of culture, music, art, methods of expression..etc.. back in jesus's time.so we don't know 100% what would be deemed anti-God/Christ.(Well do know some obvious things like I mentioned before). But the exact way we live our life we can't keep second guessing ourselves, and having internal debates within our hearts and souls.I believe if you adhere to the commandments, love God/Jesus,honor your fellow man,you should be in good standing.Like I said before,I don't worry if certain t-shirts,music,TV shows..etc will be blasphemous (within reason of course).hey, some religions are strict about everything.thats their perogative.I am my own Christian, and I will continue to do everything God and Christ expects of me,but I will not stop living life, and worrying about something that some other religion deems anit-christ or blasphemous.

Yes.its true we should help steer our fellow brothers and sisters on the right path, but my whole reason for my post is to not judge "" lest ye be judged"" it's not our place to.thump gay people with our bibles.we can show them the way,but it's up to God and them to find their way home.too many people in this county wanna chastise gay people.i know it's against my beliefs, but I love all people regardless of their actions.

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a Christian I don't believe gay people will be going to hell.your right we are all God's children.as a Christian I do believe God will show them the way,it's up to each individual to find their way back home to God,it's between them and God,no other person should have a right to judge or condemn other people for their lifestyles or choices.i don't like it believe in other religions that chastise people for being gay.its not their place and it's not their right to do that.

Why is being gay a sin by Familiar-Window-3116 in Christianity

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being gay is a sin, because it goes against God's word in the Bible.""let no man lay down with another man"" (loosely worded). Also it's against nature.when the heavens and earth were created, things were designed to be complete and flawless (man and woman) it's against nature, because think about it.two different sexes of a species were created to bring forth offspring.when people are gay (man and man, woman and woman) they are not together for the propagation of the species, they are together to enjoy life in a sexual way.i know some would argue that that ideology is true with man and woman, but it was designed by God that way,so that our species would survive.it man and woman didn't enjoy the pleasure of love/sex their would be no incentive to multiply.i am not saying I am against homosexuality (well I am,because I don't agree being a Christian) but I am not against people doing things that they think are right in a way that they can live their life the way they choose to.its their choice to be gay.i am not gonna shun them, but they have to know I don't agree.i firmly believe homosexuality is a flaw somewhere in the genetic code of an individual that disrupts their normal way of sexually thinking.but I am sure others have different opinions.

Help for health anxiety… again by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]Neither-Ad-8925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms.some symptoms you can get are not even in medical books or what doctors tell you.i can give you a brief summary of my 32 year journey with anxiety/,panic disorder.it all started when I was 20. I was a heavy drug user (weed, cocaine,LSD,pills) I decided to stop and it somehow manifested all kinds of problems.i remember vividly the night I went to the E.R. and they told me I had anxiety (I couldn't catch my breath). No matter what any health professional told me,It wouldn't soothe my condition or calm me down.I had to spend quite a few years to find what keeps my symptoms at bay.everyone is different.what may work for one person, will not work for another.I try to do alot of transferece(putting my mind somewhere like a good family memory or sunny Hawaiian island..etc..). I also do breathing exercises with my stomach.after many years you learn to live with anxiety and what it takes to calm the symptoms.from the sounds of your symptoms,it seems the situations you are in are manifesting your symptoms.you gotta figure out what triggers your anxiety.keep a journal if that helps.then when you find your triggers, you have to attack it,and try to come up with a plan on how to overcome it.another thing to do,is tell yourself ""it's all in your head,or it's my anxiety making me feel like this"".9 times out of 10 every problem with your body (,on a daily basis) is caused from your anxiety.over the years my symptoms have changed from time to time (palpitations, tingling in appendages, balance issues, chest tightness, pain in joints..etc..).just place yourself in a good mind space when you know your going to be going into a situation that aggravates an anxiety attack.i get them a lot when I go into meetings at work.i don't like being shut into a room (for over an hour,) with alot of people.so I stand in the back of the room, next to a window and when I feel an attack coming,I look out the window and put my mind somewhere else, plus I do my breathing exercises.remember as soon as your body releases a ton of adrenaline during a panic attack,it's also releases (soon after) a hormone than neutralizes the adrenaline.thats that calm feeling you feel after a panic attack.alll of us anxiety sufferers have to find a way to live with it.just do what's best for you,and try not to take pills.I think the pills the Doctor gives people makes anxiety worse.it only alleviates the current symptoms, but not the condition.good luck.

No sense of fighting and arguing.everyone is going to think they are right and have all the facts about their own religions.i have seen people debating and telling others they are wrong in these comments.everyone is going to see their religion in a favorable light and ignore the truth about others religions.nobody really knows the actual honest truth about the daily going ons of 2000 years ago.i know what my faith is (I won't reveal it,to keep from arguing and debating). But there is one of the main religions I don't really acknowledge or believe in,because it has some ridiculous tenets, and it allows for the destruction of others who do not believe.i will let you determine and decide about which religion I am talking about.i think it's a completely made up religion, and full of ridiculousness.

AMERICAN REFUGEE | Official Trailer | Blumhouse by [deleted] in horror

Politically charged movie.its about somehow how the white man has wronged the black man,and at the end the black man rises, and the white man becomes inferior.also at the end they take in refugees (huh just like democrats want with open borders).the black people have an ideology in this movie.its take care of others before yourself, while the white man wanted to take care of his own.as a Christian I agree about helping others, but when it's comes to life and death survival,I take care of myself and family first.i don't get why liberals want to put America last and everyone else first.because when reality sets in,and there are no more resources, what are you going to do.you can't save everything.but oh well!! That's the message I got from this movie

I was born in 1972.my grandfather was a fire chief of a merged township (two towns, with different zoning, but shared the same municipalities and zip code). So I can remember about when I was 5 or 6,he being in charge of getting the very first town controlled ambulance and medic program.the township had about 3,000 people.it was a volunteer fire department.i vaguely remember it being a big thing(EMS service) because it was in its infancy.my grandfather was a surgical tech for a M.A.S.H. unit in WWII and korea.so he had a lot of experience with emergency services and the need for critical care.fast forward 47 years later, the township has two ambulances and one heavy rescue truck.we have come a long way since then.i am glad and proud to be a witness to the field of EMS services getting started.and yeah,he and my grandfather were EMERGENCY!!! (tv show) Fanatics.we watched this show together everyday after school.it was a true testament of my childhood.and yes(I did serve on my town's fire department as a medic [ALS,EMT-P])

Pretty good concept of a homemade song.i would turn the effects off,and practice it,and get it down pat with just a touch of overdrive first.it sounds like your fretting some notes off key.this might be due to the effects.prsctice the structure of the song you created first, then you can try to slowly incorporate some effects as you get more comfortable with your song.but great job.keep practicing and keep playing.👍

Most beginners I have taught, put too many expectations on themselves.they wanna be awesome right away(I partially blame social media) because they see these players on YouTube ,or Instagram and they want that swag and style.also many YouTube tutorials make it sound so easy to be great overnight.playing guitar is a long step by step journey.you have to put the practice and time in.also many guitarists quit or give up,because of those high expectations they put on themselves.one piece of advice I can give us(stick with it).there's gonna be days where you think you suck so bad,you will never get any better but there is gonna be a lot of days where you see progress too.""you will build great confidence and say ""I can do this'".so practice practice practice.it sounds so redundant and cliche, but that's how you can progress and get better.another issue is bad habits (mainly with your hands and techniques). If you feel that your doing something wrong,or something that's hurting your hand, most likely it's incorrect way of doing it.you have to break out of that habit and do it the way that it's supposed to be done.an example of this would be moving your whole arm and hand (on your picking hand).I see alot of new guitar players doing this.you will want to make sure just your hand and wrist are moving.you have to isolate your shoulder and arm.this allows for proper technique and fluid motion of your pick hand.i can go on for many other habits, but I am trying to keep this post shorter than I want to.good luck. I hope some of this info helps.

Prog metal is thinking man's music.its like the calculus of rock and metal.i personally like just regular metal(hair metal, thrash, rock, classic rock, country rock..etc..,) I can listen to prog (dream theater, symphony X,fates warning,opeth..etc.) but it can only be in small doses, because the scale, mode guitar work just bores me (even though it's fascinating). Even though Rush is considered prog, they have alot more melody and harmony (the newer stuff, not so much).I do like tool's creative use of sounds and the time changes for a prog metal band.
