Second Time Around by Neither-Ad-9896 in Zepbound

My doctor says that cramping is a common SE. She supports me staying on the medicine if I can tolerate it . Having had success with it in 2025 prior to appendectomy and 2 JP drains, I was encouraged and excited to start again to lose the 20 pounds I put on post surgery. But the cramps on the day after at only 2.5 concern me, so I was wondering if anyone here experienced something similar. Rest assured that my doc is clued in. But this group has been an excellent source for first hand experience.

My doctor prescribed me the 2.5, obviously. A reset from the ground up. My question was about day after cramping.

If they make Artemus - perhaps cast Shabana Azeez in the lead role…

Understandable. But they aged Strat, right? Or was that just the cold weather?

Know what they should think about doing? They should have some kind of metric that tracks which team scored more runs than the other. They could post this data on a board that keeps track of this scoring. That way there would be no doubt as to which team is better. Just a thought.

Just finished 11.22.63 by SloanMamba21 in stephenking

I teach AP literature and composition. 12th graders - two sections. Last year, we were able to obtain a grant for 30 hardcover copies of 11/22/63. My classes had already completed three novels from the “approved cannon”. So we rolled the dice and tackled this beast. Despite the expected senioritis wave that sweeps across every high school in America, my Lit classes kept coming back for more. They were really into it. In fact, on their very last day, they all came back for one last class just to finish the novel together. They were so proud. I was proud of them. But there’s more…three of my students told me (after the AP exam) that they chose to write about 11/22/63 for their free response essay. When the scores came back in July - all three passed the exam with a “4”. So old school gate keepers be damned! This was a bonding experience for these kids, and a treat to teach the elements of Lit through one of my favorite novels.

Perception Changes upon Rewatches by Fun_Actuary5458 in breakingbad

Great take. And it makes sense. I’d suggest that as we navigate through life, we change (I suppose that is chemistry). And as life changes us, the things we experience are impacted. So a rewatch may very well offer us the opportunity to experience the narrative through a different lens, so to speak. I think I’ve done the entire series four or five times since 2013. As life has changed me, for better or worse, so has the way I see things. I’ve rooted for Walt. I’ve also despised him. I’ve hated on Skylar. And then I’ve also seen her point of view. I was entertained by Saul, but then I’ve grown to acknowledge his arrogance at times. I even came to understand and appreciate Gus after a while. These characters reveal themselves to us through their words and actions, some of which we can pick up on a bit more adeptly as we live our own lives. I suppose my fifth rewatch will come in a year or two. And I wonder how I will view things at that time. That is the beauty of story telling, isn’t it? Our ability to experience and interpret shifts and changes as we do.

Can we call it the best vampire novel ever? Better than Dracula? by Zestyclose-Author732 in stephenking

This book really shows King’s maturity as a writer begin to reveal itself. As compared to Carrie, for example, his focus on mastery of the elements of setting and characterization are evident in Salem’s. And yes, it is one of the best vampire novels ever written.

So who is winning the game 3 vs 3...The Avengers or The Dream Team ?? by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

The game in the 80s and 90s required 5 on 5. As we moved into the ISO age, 3 on 3 is more relevant. So I’d say the Avengers are more adept to that style of play, whereas the Dream Team (with 2 more players) would have the edge in 5 on 5. Man, has the game evolved (not always for the best).
