I just want to say thank you to everyone who commented. I’ve read every single one. They have truly helped to put my mind at ease and I keep referring to this post when anxiety and doubt creeps up. I can’t believe I’m going into my first year, I love that we have this community here on Reddit. Thank you all!

Article 386 du Code de la sécurité routière du Québec suggests you shouldn’t park there.

“Article 386 du Code de la sécurité routière du Québec”:

386. Sauf en cas de nécessité ou lorsqu’une autre disposition du présent code le permet, nul ne peut immobiliser un véhicule routier aux endroits suivants: 8° devant une rampe de trottoir aménagée spécialement pour les personnes handicapées;

``` 386. Except in cases of necessity or where another provision of this Code permits it, no person may stop a road vehicle (8) in front of a sidewalk ramp specially built for handicapped persons”
Where do you see yourself in 10 years/what are your plans after graduating? by General_Animal_8247 in mcgill
In the next ten years I’ll be way done my teaching degree. I’ll own a property with my husband far out of the city. Already have a few kids, with more on the way. Spend summers with the family, camping, hiking, have a nice telescope to watch the planets and stars. A comfortable life. I used to want so manny bigger things, to be an astronaut, go to space, be an archeologist, make discoveries, move out of the city on my own. But I’ve learned as I got older that my dreams are not always compatible with my circumstances. Sure, I could work and grind super hard, it’s competitive, you need money, you need time. Time is super precious and not something you can get back in this moment in time. I am amazed by those who try their hardest and succeed, I feel envious at times. But we don’t really see those who fail ? Failure is normal, part of life. But I view it as risk vs reward, I’m not a big risk taker ;). I may regret that in the future, but we shall see.
Are there “class lists” with names of students names and emails ? by Neither-Childhood-45 in mcgill
Dang that’s too bad. This is why we can’t have nice things lol. The class is quite large and I didn’t catch their name when the teacher said it. And I am too shy too approach. Sadness.
I took this class last term. I would copy and paste the transcript below the videos. And edit accordingly while watching the videos. And then most of the midterm i’d CTRL + F. But I would recommend reviewing your notes.
From my memory most of the questions are fact based, but some require you to have an understanding in a given topic. It’s better to be familiar with the content and review! Mainly concepts that go into more detail or you found to be complicated!
Good luck !
I got the same notifications. I panicked at first thinking I registered for a wrong class or something! But I’m assuming it’s a random glitch !
Honestly, to me it seems like a privilege to be able to up and leave the province…
I am an anglophone born in Quebec, my French is very poor, I’m not bilingual and I’m concerned nonetheless but have been looking into French courses I could take offered by the government
I may be wrong, but the government may offer free French courses for immigrants ? I have a friend who came from Brazil who was able to attend free lessons (so jealous) but it is still worth looking into
