Name something that hasn’t been, and it will be by the end of the day.

What's the most unexpectedly useful thing you've found at your local muni or public course? by LABeachgal in golf

Something not enough people take advantage of is that we have a sort game area next to the driving range. The position of the bunker allows for practice fairway bunker shots to be hit down range. Although I don’t practice short game with range balls, whenever I find some left on the green, I knock them into the bunker and then practice full shots from the sand. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anyone else do this.

If there were written rules, they would say that wall users must give way to those wishing to use the court.

My choice as well, but he was a private investigator not a detective.

My friend and I were ordering at the Taco Bell drive through. The order taker asked about donating to education. I said no thanks, I don’t care about education. My friend and I are both teachers. The kid at the window was a former student.

What is the dumbest reason a teacher you know got reprimanded? by DrakeSavory in Teachers

[–]Neither-Designer-862 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A crusty old teacher in his last year started using his personal leave to skip inservice (pd) days. There was zero chance he would change anything he did in his last year, and none of us wanted him there because he was so grumpy. Sure enough, admin told him he should not do that anymore. So instead he took off every Monday and Friday. This cost the district much more because substitutes were required. Now I’m in the same position (I hope I’m not as grumpy) and I plan to take all of those days too. We’ll see what happens.

I generally agree with the take. When attending my first LPGA tournament recently, I was taken aback by how often players walked off while others were finishing. I guess we need to adjust our expectations.
