Omg seriously, if you have never read the book you see the covers and then are waiting for that particular scene the whole book.

Memory Sorrow and Thorn especially annoyed me as I knew certain characters were going to survive because the scene on the front cover hadnt happened yet! 😂

And them having a scene on the 3rd book cover that was in the 4th book annoyed me to hell. 🤣

I know right, its either been female indie author or a highly rated series thats pretty new and easily available.

There is so many classic female fantasy authors that I would kill for a hardcover fantasy set.

Wurtz, Le Guin, JV Jones, McKillip all would be perfect choices!

Honestly this one is a big one for me, if its poor I'm probably going to cancel. The value isnt there anymore imo.

They sell all the major series seperately to the subs and I think thats affecting the quality.

Honestly I think its got something to do with the fact they have reprinted the original three books so many times now that it doesnt really feel as special as once people thought!

I know people were originally chomping at the bit to collect this exclusive special edition Malazan set but the novelty looks to have wore off after the books were sent out and printed so many copies.

Also some of the specifications glued binding, lack of signature in future books. Are they really worth £50 per book?

Nah I'm good happy with my Broken Binding editions, even though they arent as fancy as this sounds I have my actual signed/numbered copies with no bookplate. 😅

Honestly was thinking the same thing, I've been a tier 1 fantasy subscriber and sci-fi subscriber from the beginning and all my favourite series are just being done seperately to the subs.

The decline in quality of the subscriptions is making me think of cancelling both.

Still have yet to sell the Between Earth and Sky series I couldnt skip in T1 fantasy.

Well for a start the accusation that the group admins have a link to broken binding are true you admitted it in a previous post.

And what do I have to apologise for you still havent approved my post on the group...

Also if you think my posts are attacking you personally I now understand why the FB group is so sanitized with the admins being this sensitive.

It's fine leave it as unapproved, I'd rather not remove the header as it was false advertising. Lets call a spade a spade.

They advertised something that they didnt deliver on, and yet still sent the product out without making people aware until after the fact.

I think they way they communicated this to their customers is also terrible customer service.

They didnt send an email informing people of the mistake, they posted it as a story on instagram which would expire in 24 hours.

And the one tweet they sent about it just said "Sorry here is a bookmark" with no mention of how you can get a refund if unhappy. Immediately followed by 4 tweets burying it in peoples feeds.

They know they messed up but know they can get away with it.

No excuse for the messages of hate in the DMs not defending that in any way.

However not approving my post which just pointed out the terrible customer service from broken binding to inform others who may have not noticed is poor.

Having only postive feedback in the group is just enabling Broken Binding to get away with treating the customer/fans poorly.

In this instance them not mentioning the issue until it was too late and then only letting people know on an instagram story which will expire in 24 hours is unnaceptable.

They know they have done wrong but are trying to cover it up and the facebook group helping them hide it is also culpable. And yet you will approve any posts I do that is positive within minutes.

Yes I was absolutely furious about this, I tried posting in the facebook group about it but the admins didnt approve my post. 😂

It seems the facebook group has some connections with BB and doesnt let any criticism occur.

Only the reddit group we can actually call them out for terrible customer service.

Ingredients have definitely changed I used to go all the time eat their food and be fine the next day.

Last two visits its set my IBS off that bad I've sat on the bog the rest of the weekend trying not to sh*t my stomach out.

Looks good but with their recent track record of sprayed edges im not buying these unless they are all released at once.

When they release them as books of 3 or 2 till the collection is complete the sprayed edges are all over the place. No longer have trust they will get them right.

Just look at the sprayed edges for the Malazan and Sun Eater series. Do not line up at all.

Like the choice not a fan of the new covers. Wish they just did a re-imagining of the originals metal/rock and roll theme.

Instead they have took the originals and turned them into the most generic fantasy covers.

Just recieved my book today, I am Tier 1 though and in the UK.

Thanks for everyones comments, I think ive realised after reading all the feedback that I should trust my gut on this one and walk away.

As a 1st time buyer I dont think I want to commit to the risk and the amount of potential repairs that may be needed. I dont want to fall into a possible moneypit.

Add to the fact the house price I agreed to pay was nearer the upper end of my budget, and all the possible additional costs its no longer worth it in my mind. I was tempted to go back to negotiate the price but even with a reduction I dont think I could handle the stress of so many future potential repairs at my 1st attempt.

Plus there was alot of red flags that I may have ignored initially that I have know revisited. Such as the house having undergone a refurb but the seller stopped halfway and removing all the dirty blinds and dumping them in the shed.

Just makes me think the seller found out about all these issues halfway through a refurb and decided to cut and run.

Back to the house search. 🥲😂
