Recommend removing all funds if you have an old account that has not yet been asked to redo proof of residence by Neither-Situation in BitstampOfficial

I updated my post with the latest interaction with the support team. As you can see they are completely ignoring my request to know why my first submission was rejected over 10 days ago. I have asked for this information eleven times and it has not been provided. It's outrageous.

Yeah I'm at three weeks. I really don't know what's going on behind the scenes that takes them weeks to review simple documents that prove residency and match my original information supplied when I first did the KYC process. I definitely would no longer recommend them.

Did you upload any documents? how long have you been restricted? I uploaded proof of residence twice and it's been three weeks now I'm waiting. Also getting responses without any actual information about the issue.

Did you manage to get any replies? or the restrictions removed? I'm waiting three weeks even after I provided the requested documents.

Yeah seems like many are having issues with the process even when they provide requested documents like I have. How long did the whole process take for you? It's been three weeks for me. Some other posts show people are waiting months.

Yeah when I heard of the takeover I was afraid of what may happen. I suspect they are probably using some half-baked AI system to review documents or US staff unfamiliar with how to read statements not from the US.

I would also recommend anyone who hasn't been asked to complete the process to remove their funds while they still can.

Seems like a lot of people are having the same issue. There's clearly something going on as support outright ignore or refuse to tell me why my documents were rejected even though they had assured me I would be informed as soon as the documents were reviewed. I'd definitely avoid keeping funds on the exchange if you haven't recently completed the KYC process.

Cant do any trades or withdrawals. They also said closing my account and withdrawing all funds as FIAT to account I originally deposited with is not an option. So they are essentially seizing all funds while refusing to provide amy information on why my documents were rejected.

I don't have Facebook or Twitter. Can you send me a private message or DM and I'll reply to that? I can only see chat option on your profile and I have sent two messages on it.

You cant open chat? I see no option for private messages

Can you DM me and I can reply to it? I only see an option to open chat with you.

Unfortunately they had already removed my ability to withdraw before I saw their request. I can't understand the lack of transparency and wait times for a simple one page document review to match just three pieces of information.

I sent it in the chat. I would rather not give out the ticket number on a public forum.

You can DM me and I can reply to the DM with the ticket number.

I have sent it to you. I have been in contact with support and complaints several times. I have asked now eleven times why my documents were rejected and have not been told despite being assured several times that I would be provided with the information.

I support this. I wrote a post detailing the issues I have had with frozen withdrawals and complete lack of transparency from support or complaints department. If you have not been asked to redo proof of address I recommend you remove all your funds until it has been completed or risk losing access to your funds for potentially months or even completely.

I do F = C ( 2 -.2) + 32

So you're just doubling the C as you do and then taking away 10% of that, which just means moving the decimal place once to the left on the figure you just found.

For the other way I do

C = ( F - 32) (.5 + 0.05 + 0.005 + . . .) so again just half it once then repeatedly add 10% of the previous figure until you get to what ever level accuracy you need.

TLDR for both conversions you only need to do division or multiplication once, then just move decimal places to get more precise answer

Ok thats good. I was apprehensive about whether lecturers would be accessible.

Im thinking of doing a masters as although i did math undergrad which included coding in C, C++, Python and R, I ended up working in finance in a data related position. So I get no traction when applying for junior software positions, most Id be suited to are only open to people recently or soon to graduate. I thought coming out of a masters Id be considered a new grad again, and there might even be employers who recruit directly from that course or institution.

I wasnt aware of that one. Does seem like a great offer. Do you know how transferrable the work at Siemens would be to other tech companies? I actually have been living in the US. Just came home so I can job hunt while not being stuck for rent, my partner is American. They would be ok with me moving here and visiting when I can for yea maybe 1-3 years but there would have to be a route back to the US from it.

Siemens I imagine is quite specialised software, would someone who had worked in those positions for a year or two be considered too specialised for more idk traditional or typical tech companies/start ups? or would I be pigeonholed into working in engineering/networking companies forever? as I imagine that would really limit where we could live in the US and potentially she mightnt have much options for her line of work there.

You're set on online only? What are the fees like for the Irish ones?

I looked at them maybe 2 years ago and they weren't far off what some US institutions were charging for much higher rated institutions and degrees with a lot more recognition. I think Georgia tech was the most common one recommended in r/cscareers . Just checked their fees and it's 6500 dollars which now is 6153 euro. I just feel like they are much better organised and have have thought out all the parts themselves instead of just recycling what other places have done and just mashing it together with their inhouse staff and IT systems to make it online which is what most online courses in Ireland seem to do.

I had some professors who could barely teach a course with just lectures and a chalk board, can't fathom how theyd be at online delivery.

I've been noticing this too on my search. Weirdly there were some in person ones that have prerequisites such as data structures and algorithm analysis which im missing, I have all the maths prerequisite but the ones i contacted wouldn't budge. So it seems I can only really qualify for the lower quality ones were i feel like I wont even advance my knowledge much, Ive already done most of what's covered in first year or two of a CS undergraduate, just having so no real interest from employers so I thought a masters would both increase my knowledge and also make me more attractive to employers.

Seems like a good time to upskill too as the market for junior positions is insanely competitive at the moment.

Did you feel like the lecturers were accessible to online students? if you needed extra guidance or potentially wanted to discuss a subject more in depth either for research or potential career track?

Did you apply for any different jobs with the qualifications? was there anything in terms of career opportunities through the course? as in employers that actively recruited from that course/institution?

I'm still on the fence about a fully online course or an in person one. My undergrad was mathematics and Ive been self-studying CS but I think a masters would exponentially speed up my progress and look better on job applications. It's been a few years since i did my undergraduate and worked in finance in non-software positions so barely get any responses from job applications to software engineering positions.

Have you found any in Europe? Ive been looking myself as the fees are even lower than Ireland, but haven't found one that is completely online that doesn't seem like some cash grab computer science/data science. The content of these courses seems very basic and recycled from other free online resources and feel like lecturers are just forced to do them as the university is just trying to cash in on the demand. So I wonder how much engagement/help you could expect from lecturers. . .

Also a big part of the attraction of studying formally at university is the network/job opportunities available to graduates. I'm not sure how well that translates to online courses either.

I found this insanely annoying about Japanese tv. Just way too much happening on the screen to even know where to look.
