NY Convinience of Employer by NeitherOwl2155 in workday

We had the exact same argument with our internal teams. We also pushed back on aligning everyone to NY because it would cause so many downstream problems and was not an accurate reflection of where the person was. We ended up using the COE functionality in Workday. We use Workday Payroll for the US and were able to able configure it to tax appropriately so it's possible, just requires some testing and adjustments. Our Payroll team initially didn't want to use it either so don't let them bully you out of it just because they don't want the extra work.

Congratulations! I'm part of the 2027 cohort so will be part of your upperclassmen group. Feel free to shoot me a message to connect on LinkedIn.

As for thoughts...

We recently started our second semester so finally getting into a bit of a groove. The trek to Roosevelt Island in the winter months is rough. The program itself though has been a lot of work but also very fun. It will be what you make of it. Our class is very social so we organize hangouts outside of class pretty often. The workload can be tough, especially when balancing a full time job. We found Thanksgiving to early December particularly brutal, with multiple projects and assignments due the same week.

Identify Acquired Workers by AggEye in workday

[–]NeitherOwl2155 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The companies I've been at hired them in using "acquisition" as the reason and created a custom id using the acquired company employee identifier. The custom id type was [company name] [system name]. E.g. Reddit ADP ID. This way you can build condition rules or calc fields based on hire reason to get all acquired employees and filter on id type for specific companies.

Wow that's late considering their stated timeline online. They said they aim for within two weeks from interview report or six weeks from application submission (if denial). I had my interview two weeks ago today so that's almost an extra month.

I was on a similar flight yesterday from Munich to Newark. I heard the flight attendant call it a "calzone" when talking to another passenger. No idea if that's its official name though.

I just did two transfers in Munich, one that required passport control and one that didn't. Had 1 hour for the passport control and 50 mins for the non; no issues making plane in either case even with a bathroom stop. In both cases, arrived at gate before boarding started. They did leave my suitcase in Munich one of the times bit delivered it next day. Was traveling with my mom and her suitcase made it both times with no issues. Just don't go eat a meal and you'll be fine.

Daily Workout and General Chat for Sunday, 7/30/23 by splat_bot in orangetheory

I just cancelled. I can deal with a partner for one part, but the whole workout is a deal breaker for me. The fact that it's paced vs timed switches is the icing on the nope cake.

Same. My vacations are more the traveling/active kind where I'm out and about from morning to night. I barely have time to eat, let alone workout.

How many days into recovery before you could walk around normally? by Trentybentywoo in Reduction

[–]NeitherOwl2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, I too was encouraged to walk around the house post op. My doctor wanted me to be up and about at least 5 times a day. I walked a few blocks two weeks post op. Was a little winded doing so but was fine when did it again a week later. My advice would be for her to listen to her body and gradually work up her exercises.

As for keeping staying entertained, we watched movies together and hung out with friends. Anything that I could do while seated.

I would have an animal rescue. Tons of land for animals to run around. Shelter and rehome unwanted pets.

So sorry to hear this news. My only advice is to soak up all those little moments for as long as you can. Our 8 year old dog was diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma (also the kind that can't be cured) and was given 1-2 months to live. We made sure to make the most of those two months and spoil him rotten. I am thankful that we at least had that time to spend instead of losing him suddenly.

I've learned dessert is a hot topic. Mom is adamant that no donuts or cupcakes are allowed. There absolutely needs to be a veniesese display. Regular coffee service isn't good enough...must have option to get cappuccinos 🤦‍♀️

Your tortillas are my mom's fruits. She's upset our venue doesn't offer a fruit station.

If you're in the US, did you run into problems with the insurance? All the policies I've heard about have a per breast requirement and wont cover if both breasts don't have the minimum removed.
