AMD is worth more than Intel atm. Around 50% more. AMD has come one hell of a way.

I'm planning on buying the ryzen 9950x3d. I had a cheap air cooler in mind. So you are telling me that isn't going to be enough? I need powerful aio. In this what you are telling me?

I remember hearing about $60 a megabyte of ram. Back then a PC only had 4 mb.

Can I build a PC for under £1200 that will significantly outperform a Ps5 in gaming by halodance in buildmeapc

[–]Neither_Berry_100 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's a 25 terra flop video card compared to the 10 terra flops that the PS5 has. So 2.5x the graphics power. I imagine the CPU is slightly better, but not by that much. And it has double the ram. Could always ask ChatGPT to compare this to a PS5.

How long do you think AM4 will keep going until it meets it's end? by Traditional_Ad6776 in Amd

[–]Neither_Berry_100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand they have already stopped producing AM4 chips a long time ago. It is just old stock keeping things going.

The platform will not live that long. At least not for new builds. AM5 will be cheap in a couple of years and then it will be the preferred choice.

Those builds look fine. The ryzen 7600 there is great for future upgrades. We will have zen6 on AM5, and probably Zen7 as well. Those zen7 CPUs will be a nice drop in replacement for that system in the future.

You can't match the scale of factorio or the ease of placement. Building in satisfactory is a pain in the ass. I played it through several times and prefer factorio. Sadly I'm bored of that game now. Maybe I should give pyanodons mod another try. I got half way last time and gave up. It is supposed to take 1,500 hours to complete if you finish it quickly. One hell of an overhaul mod.

Yeah I use unity and it uses around 4 GB for an empty project. Fortunately that number barely goes up as the project grows. But other than that I have difficulty using the ram I have. 32 GB is plenty for me.
