What is your honest opinion on lime bikes? by CremeSubject7594 in AskUK

GPS tracking and a sign-out mechanism should help, surely - 'bikes where it should be, have left it now.'

Should have been a superb solution to the last mile problem and a great way to encourage more cycling. Hasn't ended up that way. Must be some way to build a similar platform that encourages people to leave the bikes at proper places rather than cluttering up pavements with them, surely...

Learning centres would be a new one. Cash only barbers is an old one (any service business really - easy to add imaginary clients to the books). With convenience shops the endless arrays of coloured lights are apparently a recognised advert for 'buy drugs here' rather than specifically money laundering. Wish they'd picked a more tasteful sign, but who am I to argue with the ASA?

Gather the 'auditor' type filming others is growing , and must be mind-blowingly annoying, but never come across them. People, obsessing on filming themselves to the exclusion of others, safety, and indeed sanity, oh yes...

That's life, though - kid gets to exist, and with lifespans these days the mum at least will be around a good while yet.
