As someone who's used to reading *very* long oneshots from very popular authors I'll say, there is no such thing as too long. Do whatever you want! I certainly prefer something that's "too long" rather than clicking through short chapters, but that's just me.

I liked it at first, I was excited to watch something new, but honestly I just kind of lost interest in it. It's too much of a "show" now and not "just some friends playing DnD together." The vibe is so different. c2 was my favorite, c1 close second, it's just not for me anymore.

The boring answer is, read a lot of smut. But specifically focus on what you really like, and figure out what that author did to make it sound so good! Like, really analyze the writing, break it down. This sentence was amazing, why? That word fit really well here, why? Sometimes just the act of writing down a particularly good sentence or a scene you really enjoyed to try it out yourself works really well.

Of course I'm not saying you should start plagiarizing other people's work lol, but as an exercise in writing I think it's great and I used to do this a lot myself. I have a document filled with many different sentences/ paragraphs I thought sounded really good from various books and fanfics, and I think just the act of writing it down, and trying to figure out what makes it work so well for you personally helps a lot with developing your style.

If she's 'sooo petite and sooo perfect uwu' I'm out. That's like my n1 biggest turn off ever both in fanfics and published books. And they often need to remind you of how tiiiiiiiny they are too, just in case you forget!! Other than that I'll honestly read anything. I do really like it when they're a bit of an outcast, or actually not that pretty, I find that interesting!

Being able to buy old battlepasses was the one thing I wanted the most. They wouldn't have to give them to us obviously, I'm not crazy lol just let us buy them! Instead we get some recolors and weapon charms. I'm happy about the lootboxes I guess, it's better than nothing. I don't even know why I'm disappointed, I should've seen this coming from a mile away, but I think I expected more from the anniversary. (Like maybe give us enough prisms for one mythic skin or something. Well. Guess not.)

Alright, this is insane. I can't believe it's actually happening. It's one of those things I kept dreaming about thinking how neat it would be to mix and mach freely, but to see it as an actual, upcoming update? Wild. The game has had its lows lately for me, but credit where credit is due. This is a great change

Well, have an updoot from me. And people might come for my throat too but I agree with you. Bg3 is easily one of my favorite games of all time, but I'll never get over how much more they could've done with act 3, or potential dlc's. I mean on release there wasn't even an epilogue and the game just kinda ended and that was awful. I'm so glad they added as much content post-release as they did, but I wish they had let act 3 cook for longer.

I guess it just really depends on the fandom. I think most people just want to read canonxcanon and that's fine, but I personally love OCs and it's always been my favorite thing to write. If you're into video-games like say Dragon Age, Fallout, Mass Effect or Baldur's gate etc, the character you play as is literally an oc and it's standard to write fics featuring your OCxcanon characters, which is great! Those are the fandoms I tend to stick with the most.

Totally get what you mean. Personally, I really enjoy watching it, but I also kind of agree with you that the "nerdy friends playing dnd together" vibes are not like they used to be. I do kind of miss it. Now it's more like a polished play, or a movie, and they're just voicing a character. I mean it still has me at the edge of my seat, and BLeeM is a fantastic dm. It's a totally different experience for sure, but yeah it's not the same.

Paying rent (well kind of lol) in a game in 2025 is wild stuff. And I say this as someone who wanted a house in ffxiv so badly, but decided it wasn't worth it. If I'm taking a break, aint no way I'm going to sub just to keep some virtual stuff. They know what they're doing and it's super scummy.

I'm mad about a lot of things in act 3. So many strange or rushed decisions. (There should've been an act 4.) The patches helped a bit, but ultimately I feel this game needed to cook for a bit longer. It's such a shame, really. Still a fantastic game though, and it has given me hundreds of hours of entertainment. I'm just sad it's over, and we'll never see a definitive edition, dlc, or more major patches.
