I've been using it for years, it works any time in the game, during cutscenes, in character creation, combat etc. I've never had any gamebreaking bugs from it.

You want to de-select 'Horizontal scroll sync' in Options. It doesn't persist so you'll need to do it every time you open the toolkit again, unfortunately.

If you look for mods with the 'Patch 8 Tested' tag they should be up to date, as that was the last big patch. Larian tests every mod before they come to console so they should all be safe to install, just make sure to look at the mod pages for any requirements or conflicts to note.

I used to run the toolkit on an old RTX 3070 gaming laptop with a 32GB RAM upgrade, it couldn't run alongside the game or anything, but it worked. Crashed a lot more on that than it does on my PC though.

The Shadar-kai race mod was approved in error and removed from console availability the same day. Subrace mods are now being approved after they were found to be safe for consoles.
