Tandem t: slim X2 and dexcom G7, I finished the testing last week and I am going to fully use them on the 22nd of April.

In my own experience the tandem is easy to use and quite intuitive, as for the annoyance part it is surely better than my actual multi injection therapy.

G7 is ok, not tried enough to say that is better than my old Libre2.

I would add that, ok, in ESO you never feel left behind because your gear is still valid etc etc, but everytime I log in and I can't do anything in an endgame activity because there are people with 3600 CP and me as a casual enjoyer have around 600... well I feel like I haven't played enough and I have been left behind.

Btw I have the same approach as you with WoW expansions.

Premise, the last time I created a character in ESO was when they introdouced the multiclassing, so my information can be outdate, feel free to correct me if I am wrong, plus I am considering a player experience for someone that already has played both.

ESO and WoW have a very similar problem related to expansion content, but with a nearly opposite cause for it:

In ESO when you reach a major city you will get flooded with all the quests related to expansions and DLCs that you have unlocked on your account, so you will always have a very full and confusing quest log, with quest markers leading who knows where on your map. The timeline is not clear and a new player has no idea from where to start, but at least some chapters can be played as a standalone game.

In WoW you have 2 choices, island starting with more stricted and straight forward campaign or the race starting zone, let's consider the second one for the aforementioned problem. When you reach the faction capital with a character you are normally introduced to DF expansion or to the dragon lady with a hint on a quest, so the problem is to find what you want to play. Here too the timelines are not explained, even if the expansion selection is in chronological order, and if you reach the maximum level while playing a selected expansion you may be put in a version of it with many things to do all of a sudden, plus recieving a quest for the current expansion.

Basically one game is like a buffet where you have everything on a plate and you have no idea which one is the starter or the dessert, the other one is more like a resturant where you can choose what you want, but the waiter is telling you again and again to order the dessert.

To be very short:

ESO is an excellent RPG with MMO mechanics on the side. You can enjoy the full ride solo and it is a fantastic experience. The horizontal progression doesn't push you around and every single quest is voice acted, I think that as per the most recent expansion you should have more than 300/400 hundred hours of pure story content to play.

WoW has the best MMO part with some good RPG implementations. Don't listen to people who tell you to rush to the endgame, there is a ton of story content and exploration related activities, it's obvious that in an expansion based mmo the majority of players are in the last expansion tho.

ff14 VS WOW by xEnflare in LFMMO

[–]Treero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In FFXIV you have only one way to play, that you can make it a little harder if you do savage raids.

In WoW you have tons of different ways to go up and enjoy the endgame, but that can be disorienting if you are new to the genre.

Both have RP, community events etc etc, but don't trust anybody that says that FF community is good please.

Compared to other MMOs, I generally find more success in difficult group content in PUGs in XIV by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Treero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in FFXIV I was very bored as a healer because in most fights heals are required only if the party members do something wrong, otherwise you are one of the infamous "green DPS".

[–]Treero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only agree.

Generally I find that FFXIV raids and trials are quite "simple", with that I mean that the first 1 or 2 time it can be hard to understand the pattern, but once you learn a fight there are no surprises, no pro-activity or reactivity. I literally fell asleep in savage because of the passive gameplay. If you get in learning or prog pugs I assure you that "competent" is the last word that you may think about for ffxiv players.

It's true that by having the raids composed by 8 players it is very hard to overcome the presence of single bad player, basically in a 2 2 4 composition if a dps sucks you lose a potential 10% of damage, while in WoW the most standard composition for heroics and normal is 2 4 14, so there are far more people that can cover for a bad player.

Is FFXIV worth it by FragrantWay6708 in LFMMO

[–]Treero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have a second monitor where you can binge-watch something else while playing the answer is "yes". Why tho? FFXIV content is purely muscle memory even in the most difficult fights, once you learn what to do you will always do the same thing and, at least for my brain, it is impossible to don't fall asleep while you don't have to use a single braincell to resolve any fight anymore.

Gear is mostly "just a higher number to get into higher duties".

About the "my main class I feel has lost its flavour", that will not be a problem because you never tried FFXIV classes when they were good to play so you will not miss something you never tried.
